I like Twilight, but I have to say:

Actually, there's plenty that Lestat has and Edward doesn't. I don't feel like separating the powers that they share, and those of which only Lestat has, so I'll just list Lestatas abilities, and you can see for yourself which ones Edward doesn't possess. Lestat has: Extremely powerful telepathy, he can read both humans and vampires, and he can block his own thoughts off. He has telekinesis, moving heavy objects from a distance and looking cool while while opening doors without touching them. Haha. He has mind control, bending others to his will, male and female. He has extremely enhanced strength and senses. He can move faster than the human eye can perceive, pick out one voice in a large crowd of people, see in the darkest night, and has extreme strength. He has the fire gift, meaning he can ignite anything to flame with a thought. Especially effective, since the "changed" blood of vampires is very combustible. He has the cloud gift, in other words, he can fly. He has the killing gift, meaning, with a thought, he causes numerous fatal ruptures in the cardiovascular system. He obviously has immortality, as all vampires. And he has very rapid healing, that is, IF, anything injures him, which he's become immune to fire and sunlight, so it's nearly impossible to damage Lestat. He's fed from the first vampires, and he's even fed from God himself.

So realistically speaking, if the two fictional characters were to ever fight, Lestat could kill Edward without even getting close to him. Plus, Lestat was a violent, rockstar vampire. You can't get much cooler than that.

Omg before i ever even heard of Twilight i had read all the Anne Rice books so its hell trying to choose between them but they are 2 totally different Vampires..

In a fight Lestat would win hands down and thats said with nothing against Edward except for the fact Lestat is such a trouble causing, up for anything, take on anyone kinda vamp.
As in looks..I can't choose because basing Edward on Robs looks, and Lestat on Stuat Townsend then they are both gorgeous.. (yeah i know Tom Cruise portrayed Lestat 1st and Interview with the Vampire is great but Tom just don't do it for me!)

as reader an fan of both,
They are both tortured souls.(no one kill me over this)Edward is more whiney than Lestat, but they both share the same beliefs taking a human life is wrong. Edward is deff hotter than Lestat! lol im a total edward fan. lol hes just hott.
umm yeah!
Edward is hott. Lestat is scary.

Haha. I'm a straight guy, and I have to say, shamelessly, that I think Stuart Townsend is hot. Haha. I'm sorry, but I don't see anything special about Robert's appearance.

There's no comparison between Edward and Lestat.

I really did not like the Lestat character. He's like a Leo on meth. He's selfish, shallow, and self-absorbed.

Edward is just the opposite of Lestat. Edward is thoughtful, empathetic, considered, and concerned with what those he loves are experiencing and going through.

But that's the lure of the Lestat character. That's how he's painted by Louis in the Interview with a Vampire. But If you read Lestat's account of the same ordeals, he shows himself as a completely different person. He's supposed to be a little selfish, shallow and self-absorbed. He is, after all, the brat prince. The damndest creature. Haha. One second, he seems like a complete jerk, the next, a saint. He likes to start trouble, to keep things interesting. That's why I like him over Edward. Edward's character seems under-developed and kind of boring. Don't get me wrong, I still like him, I just don't find him that interesting.

Please!!!!!!

There is absolutely no contest.

My darling Brat Prince wouldn´t lower himself to even look at mr emo
pathetic excuse of vampire´s direction.

Tom Cruise, even with all the beef I have against him, as my beloved
Lestat is LIGHT years away from Pattinson.

Pattinson thinks that acting is staring at nothing, having
a I didn´t slept last night- sore throat look and mumbling
(christ!!! he mumbles more than Steward in NM).

Pattison hot??? maybe it is for tweens and teens,
but for me he is a bishounen.. a pretty BOY with
nothing inside of his head.

Lestat as a character is fully developed, multi dimentional and
rounded Edward is quite undeveloped, lineal and so whiny (I
thoght Louis was whiny, but the Cullen boy is the king
of whinyness).

You really can´t compare a series of books with dept
with a plastic commercial product. It´s like
comparing filet mignon with a hamburger or champagne with
apple juice.

Miss DeLioncourt, funny you should state that, given your name. That said, I too have to lend my voice to yours in favor of Mister Lestat also. Simply because he's nearly as old as I, and, as our kind go, a much more mature vampyre than Edward ever will be. ;)
