My Life is Not So Normal Anymore-Part Fourteen-You Gotta Stop Breaking in Like This

This is a short but sweet one. It shows the developing relationship between the Cullen's and Riley. There is humor in it. Enjoy :)

I awoke to find myself in bed still. The clock read 9:30. Oh god. I overslept. I banged on my Mom’s door. “Mom! Get up! We’re late!” My Mother stumbled to the door. “It’s a P.D day, go back to bed.” She climbed back into bed. I did as well.

I awoke several hours later and it looked like it was about two o’clock in the afternoon. I stumbled into the living room and found Alice and Riley sitting in there. i took in a sharp breath. “Alice you scared me! You gotta stop breaking in like this!” Alice had broken into our house the past two days at least three times now. “Riley called me worried about you so I picked him up, well Emmett did and we came here.” I looked down at myself completely forgetting I feel asleep in my sports bra and flannel sweatpants last night. I covered myself up and ran into my room. I put an oversized top on. “Why’d you run off like that? I was enjoying the view.” Riley said. Alice hit him with her hand. “I bruise easily you know.” He said to her. “Don’t worry, it won’t bruise.” Alice said confidently. “Come here baby.” I walked over to him. “Wow you smell good today.” Alice said. “Thanks.” I replied. I curled up on Riley’s lap. I laid my head on his chest. He stroked my  hair. “So what do you two want to do today?” Alice asked. I sniffed my hair. “Have a shower is definitely on my agenda.” I cringed at the scent even though I had only had a shower last night. I looked at the mess of curls. “I didn’t know until now that you had curly hair.” Alice commented. “Well, I do.” I replied. “It’s really pretty. you should really wear it like that more often. I really like it.”

I hoped in the shower and I was out in record time. I heard my mother start to get up. I noticed Alice and Riley were gone. They must have left. I put bobby pins in my hair and set my hair to the side in a mess of long curls. My mother limped into the bathroom. “Hey baby girl. How long have you been up?” she asked. “About an hour now.” I replied. “What are you thinking about doing today?” “I’m going over to Riley’s soon. He invited me over.” She played with my hair and tried to fix it. “Momma.” I said. She laughed. “Sorry sweets. I had to.  I am still your mother you know.” I shook my head. “By the way, how do you plan to get there?” My mom questioned. “Emmett probably, or Alice. I don’t know yet.” I told her with a smile.

I walked downstairs and she followed me. “I can give you a ride if you would like. Just give me a few.” She began to limp up the stairs. “Don’t worry. I have already called Alice.” I said. I slipped my shoes on and grabbed my purse. “Ok. As long as you aren’t causing her or her parents any trouble. Thank her, ok?” I rolled my eyes. I went over and kissed her cheek. “I love you Momma.” I said. “I love you too baby. Call me when you get a chance ok?” I nodded my head.

I went out into the garage and found Riley and Alice sitting on my Moms car. “I thought you two left.” I said. “Nope. We didn’t.” Alice said proudly. “Truly she carried me down the stairs. I didn’t know that such a little thing could be that strong.” Riley added. “You’re light. I can’t imagine how light your girlfriend is. Oh my gosh I love your outfit!” I looked down at what I put on. A burgundy cardigan and grey, strapless tank top with black leggings and a beige pea coat. Alice had a gray strapless dress that reached her mid thigh and black leggings with flats. I looked at her flats. My jaw dropped. “Are, are, are those Chanel?” I asked in awe. She nodded with a smile on her face. “Lets go. I want to take you to the  fashion district.” She said.

We drove to Riley’s and he picked up his wallet and his iPod. We waited in the driveway for several minutes. “Alice when are we leaving?” I asked. “Soon, when Edward brings the Audi.” Just then Edward pulled up. The siblings switched cars without a word. We got in the Audi and drove to Toronto. We picked up Colleen on the way and put Riley through the torture of girl time.
