Thanks for the info, Whitney! I kinda figured there'd be no way to get anywhere near the set. It is set back quite a distance from the main road, and yeah there are fences... lots of 'em. I can totally understand why there would be police barricades there while filming is going on. It must be a real pain for those folks who live in that apt. complex right at the front entrance and also along Bluebonnet there.
Honestly, I've not held onto any hope of even getting a glimpse of any of the actors. If we happen to bump into someone associated with the film somewhere, great! But let's just say, I'm not holding my breath. I'm just excited a/b getting to hang out with some really fun, Twi-loving, like-minded folks like myself during the various days that they're out here. My birthday's the weekend that the Eclipse DVD is released! I'm so excited/psyched a/b getting to attend a possible release party somewhere with my local and new friends!

I do appreciate your being honest and forthright about hangin' out near the set. I'm just hoping your info didn't rain on anyone's parade who was planning on coming out here. I know that was not your intention. Your just honestly tellin' it like it is... from someone right there on the front lines. So thanks for that... =)

For those of you w/ travel plans... There's lots of places we could hang out! I'm hoping ya'll are still up for lots of drinkin', chattin', laughin' and chillin' down in the Bayou state!

By the way Whitney... How's the pizza at Isabella's? ;)

Okay, Just wanted to pass this on to you all. I live NEXT door to celtic media.. and by next door I mean I can see everything crystal clear, the sound stages.. I can walk 10 feet across the street and the sound stages are there. When they are filming movies and they have police barricades on the streets I have a special pass to get through. That being said, there will be NOTHING to be seen. It isn't a "normal" hollywood movie set where you can go see things. It is comprised HUGE sound stage buildings gated off by fences. Literally I can see through to everything and you still can't see anything, because they will most likely be filming INSIDE on the sound stages. Aaron Eckhart did film Battle of Los Angeles here and they erected and outside set. Even with the outside set you could not see the filming. 1. The way it is set up you can't see the actors and 2. they POLICE barricade everything (not by the set.. like the roads getting even close to the set).. meaning you can't get by to see anything. Celtic is set up in a residential area it isn't an open area soundstage like a lot of previous twilight filming locations have been. Honestly, if you're hoping to just go down to Baton Rouge and park it outside of the set, it isn't going to happen. Most likely you will not be allowed to do it (police barricades.. residential areas..) , and if you do you won't see anything. If you don't believe me google the street view if it will let you.

That being said.. I have seen a lot of actors in the community and actually almost got into a car accident with Aaron Eckhart.. your best bet would be to find bars restaurants etc in the community which the actors frequent. B/C it will be VERY unlikely that anyone will see anything. Otherwise become friends with people who work there.. they can give you passes INTO the centre.. otherwise.. seriously save your money.

Great information Whitney. I'm not holding my breath either but the hope is still there. I'm driving down with two of my friends, one of which is not a twi-hard. So we have planned other things to do while we are there. I heard down in NOLA there is this vampire tour which we are taking and then some swamp trip (dont really know what). Other than that being in the great state of LA and enjoying it will be fun as well. And maybe, just maybe, we will see someone from the cast at a bar, restaurant, or somewhere :)

me and a few friends will be going down the weekend of dec. 3rd. were not expecting to be able to see much but either way we'll have a blast and hope to meet alot of other fans! cant wait!!

whitney, thanks for the info, that's great. What is the likelyhood of befriending an employee from the set, or what is the address there, I could write a letter and tell we are a fan club for twilight and we are coming in from all over the states and wonder what are the chances of getting together a Q&A and autograph session with the stars. We are the fans after all we put them where the are!!! What do you all think, is it worth a try or not . They might just give us something, give me some feed back.

I have the address of the studio and will write a letter, but what date is best. I'm flexible so whatever date the majority can be there I'm game. But I won't do anything until I get some feed back from you guys,

Dec.4th the release for eclipse!!!! It's the only weekend I can come down being the mom of 2 babies and working 40 hrs a week. Please :)

That would be so incredible, but you guys picked a better weekend. We are coming up the 12th and 13th of Novemember because it is the only one that will work. Keep me in the loop and I hope you have the time of your lives!

So here, is their website with their address and everything. Unfortunately, even their aerial photo is outdated as they have added more soundstages. http://www.thecelticmediacentre.com/

So I don't know about getting into the studio or writing a letter. Celtic is VERY private. It is literally a 5-10 person run studio and they outsource the rest of the work. In fact they haven't even publicly said they are filming twilight. The tax records show something called "TSBD- Summit" in it. All of their employees are very quiet and the people living next to the studio maintain that, so I guess I get the feeling that they're going to be hush hush, but then no one has tried to get in.. so maybe if someone tried. I do know some of the employees stay/live in our condo area, and my neighbor's children are fans and have gotten some passes from them. BUT their mom is really good friends with them... SO 1. they might be giving passes and 2. I don't know how easy it is to get them.

@ Lauriesiana, I actually haven't eaten there yet, but a few people have told me it's good. There is a bar -Who's Who in that same shopping center that is fun.

Other than that, I would try the Perkins Rowe area bars, Downtown like the roux house/happy's. And the Chimes (there is one on coursey blvd, but the one on highland near basically on LSU's campus is the most fun). Oh and the bulldog on College is great too! There aren't a lot of "upscale places" - with exception to the Wine Loft, otherwise it's more business casual/yuppy places. I'll upload some photos of the studio when I get a chance. Hope you all have fun in BR (definitely make the hour drive down to NOLA one night too!!)

Oh and no! I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade. I understand that there are a lot of movie sets where you will be able to see things. I just didn't want people coming down with the idea that they were absolutely going to see something. It's cool if people are wanting to come have fun, but I didn't want people spending money for only one purpose and then being horribly disappointed!!

Well I can not thank you enough. I really appreciate all the advice. Nice to know we're in this together. Great website info too. Still so excited even to party in BR without the chance of a sighting. Wrote down all the bars and restaurants too. Thanks! Definetly going to the wine one. My weakness is Reisling.

I am planning on heading down to New Orleans as well. And for what I have heard Kristen say I wouldn't doubt she will head down that way as well once in awhile. I really want to see the French Quarter. And since I now know that Alexander Skarsgard from True Blood will also be in BR this Fall/Winter filming Battleship makes me even more excited to go. He is another hot vampire :)
