Why Edward?
I was just wondering why, for some or most people that Edward gets a lot of grief over leaving Bella in New Moon for her protection when Jacob basically does the same thing? Now, I know that it wasn't exactly Jacob's choice to stay away from Bella in New Moon after he first becomes a wolf but it wasn't exactly Edward's either, because to him, Edward felt that he didn't have any other choice or option on how to keep Bella safe other than leaving her. Edward was just as hurt and broken when he left Bella too. So I ask, why is it okay for Jacob to leave Bella?
Now, this isn't meant to start any kind of Team Edward or Team Jacob war, please keep the comments nice on both ends. Please don't be rude and please respect others opinions. I'm just really curious.

I thought the same thing. Edward is looked at as the bad guy in New Moon when really he was just trying to keep the one he loves safe. Edward was more hurt than Bella was, he was just trying to keep his love safe. I dont get why people think he is bad because of it.
Oh and btw when Edward left Bella he really came to new york and had an affair with me. He still doesnt like Bella as much as me. He says hes going hunting but hes really coming to see me:D just thought id share my little secret lol. :p

Exactly, he loves her way more than Jacob I think and he was giving her a healthy normal life but she choose the best life so Edward did do the right thing.
