would edward still have fallen in love with bella if she was fat?
i've always wondered if edward would still have fallen in love with bella if she was fat. i don't mean this as a joke or i don't mean any offense to heavy set people. ( me being one of them ) but bella is skinny and the majority of the male population prefer skinny women. so please let discuss. it bella was fat would edward have fallen in love with her or even gave her a second thought.

yeah i think so.. they are soul mates and edward has never had this with anyone else(and i am sure there were women that thrown themselves at him and he wasent intrested) Her sent was unbearable for him to stay away from her. In the book she is decribed as ordinary, so that tells me its more than just looks that brought them together!! It just happens hollywood of course gets good looking characters eg.ROB, to play them on the big screen. but thats hollywood for ya!

if they're belong together and it's like a fate. I think Edward still have falling in love with Bella. and I never doubt about edward's love for bella. Edward dont mind bella getting old and still loves her in her wrinkle. But Bella who get not confindet about her age and look then rushing edward to change her

If Edward was vain enough to not go for a girl because she's fat, why would he choose a plain human when vampires that are obviously more beautiful than Bella have shown a real preference for him? No, i definitely think it wouldn't matter to him in the slightest. And i think it would be the other way round too - although Bella does seem fairly focused on Edward's looks, she said to Jacob she'd rather he wasn't rich or beautiful, because it'd put them more in balance. I completely see your point though, i've always wondered this myself. I also think a lot about whether Edward would have fallen for Bella if she was already a vampire when he met her. Would he still have been drawn to her? And also, if he would have loved her if he could read her mind.

Thats a good question & although Stephenie Meyers is overweight.. I do not think she would have written Bella "fat", but if she did.. I would like to think that Edward would loved her despite being fat.. but if I am going to be completely truthful... no he wouldn't have.. Edward falling in love with Bella, as a "normal" or "plain" human is completely different then accepting her being fat. I am sure he could see past simple flaws, but like wolfgirl140 said.. men are visual creatures.. & if Bella were fat.. & Edward was different then the "typical" man & accepted her being fat.. there would be no story, bcuz no other man would really want her bcuz like you said a majority of the male population prefer a thin women. I definitely could NOT see Jacob or Mike crushin on a fat Bella.
