The books are an ongoing series written by Rachel Caine about a town named Morganville, Texas. To an outsider Morganville is just like any other small town, but it holds a dark secret. Vampires rule over the town and the people within it's boundaries. Each human wears a bracelet to 'protect' them against vampire attacks. However, to gain this protection they must swear themselves and loyalty to one of the vampires in town. Only people living in Morganville are made aware of the vampires and as soon as you cross the boundaries out of town all knowledge of them is erased from your mind as a way to protect the vampires from exposure.
The books follow a main cast of 4 young people all living the Glass House. Michael, Eve and Shane welcome Claire Danvers, whose perspective the books are written from, into their house and the adventures begin :D
