"Why be Team Edward?"
Fist of all,I would just like to say-We are talking about the CHARACTORS of Edward Cullen and Jacob Black.Not Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. So if your choice is based on which one is "hotter", Please don't comment. Please limit your comments based on the charactors ACTIONS and motives.Not their looks.So many fans(even SOME guys) base their opinion purely on which one of them is better looking instead of their actions and integrity. That is both immature and superficial.Jacob crossed the line when he imprinted on Renesmee(That mutt should be neutered like the dog he is lol j/k.....well not really lol).I know I know "he couldnt help it".I think thats ridiculous.If Edward and the Cullens can find a way NOT to drink human blood in order to be more dignified and humane,Jacob and the pack can find a way to wait till Nessie is of a legal age to imprint on her. The whole concept of imprinting is a little disturbing anyway, no matter how old they are. Just like its disturbing the way Edward watches Bella sleep.But,I digress. That's nothing compared to imprinting on an innocent child.
Even before Jacob imprinted on Renesmee,from the very beginning,he really manipulated Bella.He did EVERYTHING just to get her to spend time with him,including fixing those motorcycles and exposing her to idea of cliffdiving.He was more concerned about her choosing him over Edward than he was about her safety(I know,he wasnt there when she tried cliffdiving and he really didnt SHOW her,she just saw it. But instead of warning her against it, he told her how much of a rush it was. He knew what kind of emotional state she was in and that she would do ANYTHING to keep her mind occuppied. Even if it was dangerous.And he used that to his advantage. A real friend would have been more cautious as to what he agreed to do with her and what he told her.)She even said, "I know this is stupid and wreckless." His response "Yes, it's completely stupid and wreckless...when do we start?".He should have said "Yes, this is completely stupid and wreckless.So, no." But, no, he had an alterior motive.He knew fixing those motorcycles was a way to gain her love.Everything Edward did was because he wanted what was best for her.Even when he left, he was thinking about HER safety. Not his own selfish needs.Jacob only thinks about himself. Of course Bella kinda does play BOTH of them. She leads Jacob on(like a little puppy lol) even though she knows shes in love with Edward. Still,Jacob took advantage of Bella's fragile state of mind when Edward left to get her to fall for him.Then,when he finally realizes that he will never have her,he marks his territory on little nessie.If this was reality,Jacob would have a guest spot on "Dateline:to catch a predator." lol The bottom line is-Real love is SELFLESS.It means putting the other persons needs,feelings,desires and safety before your own.Edward does that.Jacob thinks about what he can GAIN before he thinks about what is best for Bella.The fight with the new-borns, for example. Leah was right,she had that vampire covered.But Jacob had to play hero to prove something to Bella.His only thought was getting her to love him and he just saw that as another way.And what happend?He ends up almost getting himself killed. That's not love. It's (As Alice would say) "Life-threatening idiocy".It just goes to show how self-obsorbed Jacob is

I agree!! but i also think that part of the reason that Bella lead Jacob on was because she still wanted to be his friend and nothing more and the only way to be his friend is to lead him on so that really was Jacobs fault if he didnt push her so hard she would'nt of kept him at arms lenght!! well thats my opinion anyway and yes i was soo pissed that he imprinted on Renesmee especially when she was a baby!! why could'nt he do it when she was older!! give Edward and Bella sometime with thier one and only Child!! and imagine how Renesmee will feel when she's older to know that your boyfriend was in love and kissed your mum!! and i also agree with you on Edward everything he did was for Bella!! what was best for her and what she wanted and Jacob just did things to keep her closer to him!! so yeah thats my opinion on a few things!! lol

Right.See,if you ask me,Bella is the real "Villian" in this story.Maybe un-knowingly, but she is. Her intention is to keep Jacob as a friend.But she does it the wrong way. She should not have kissed him. That only fueled the flames. If you ask me, Bella is the quote/unquote "villain" of the story. Unlike other vampire stories, in which the vampire is trying to corrupt their victim and steal their virtue, Bella is trying corrupt Edward by trying to convince him to go against everything he hands for bye 1. sleeping with her before marriage and 2. turn her into a vampire.

I dont really see Bella as the "villian" i see her as a normal girl thats trying to get her best friend and the love of her life to get along or at least keep them both in her life and goes to drastic measures to do so and i do agree she should'nt of kissed him but still she wanted both of them in her life and found out in the end that she could'nt she had to have just one so she chose the love of her life and i mean who knows what we would do if we were put in Bella's situation?? I probably would ahve done a few things the same but not alot of them!!

Personally, I was pretty disgusted by Bella's behavior. If you're in a serious relationship with someone, you don't typically seek out the company of someone who has romantic feelings for you. I see it as a form of cheatring, especially since Jacob tried to kiss Bella and she resisted him the first time, but continued to see him. If I was Edward, I would have felt betrayed. There are different types of cheating. Forming a strong emotional bond with someone who has feelings for you, and then, you start to develop feeling in return, can lead to infidelity (I know they weren't married, but it's still wrong) .It also gave Jacob a sense of false hope. It almost seemed like she was cheating on both of them. It also irritated the crap out of me that Bella kept asking Jacob to visit her when she was pregnant, knowing that it hurt both Edward and Jacob. She seemed pretty selfish to me. I felt like she was stringing Jacob along even though she knew she would end up with Edward. because she knew in her heart she could not live without him.

I think alot of people stopped commenting because of what I added to the beginning of the blog-not to comment if your comments are based purely on the fact that one actor is hotter than the other lol.Which says something pretty interesting about BOTH Team Edward and Team Jacob fans.I hope fans are not as superficial as to base their choice of one or the other simply by the fact that they think one is better looking lol.Please re-read the blog and consider your decision carefully.

I think the reason Bella kept asking Jake to come visit her when she was pregnant was because of Renesmee the connection between Renesmee and Jacob was there but no one new what it was at the time because even Jacob admitted that once Renesmee was born and down stairs he wasn't drawn to Bella anymore the pull was downstairs to Renesmee

lol Jenna.I couldnt agree more.Like I said-I think Bella is the real Villain in this story.She pushing Edward to do things that go against everything he believes in and everything the Cullens stand for-1.Sleep with him before marriage,and 2. Turn her into a vampire.And she plays BOTH of them. Keeping Jacob at arms length,leading him on. While,at the same time, seducing Edward.
