Valkyrie.

This is the only film I have watched recently. (Been watching all the old t.v. seasons of the Addams family)

Now I must preface this with the fact that I normally, have not liked any of the films I've seen with Tom Cruise in it.

I didn't even like War of the Worlds, which I loved reading when it was first published and was one of my alltime favorite books for many decades. ;)

But this movie was actually pretty good. Without telling too much about the movie and ruining it for everyone who has not seen it. (I'm not into posting spoilers lol)

I was really impressed that the film stayed fairly close to what we know about the actual historical facts which inspired the film. Which is the story of how some Germans themselves during WWII actually tried to assasinate Adolph Hitler and put and end to the human atrocities he was comitting.

Far too often anymore, so much "artistic license" is taken with films based upon actual historical events like this one, that by the time they hit the theater, the story in the film no longer even remotely resemble's what happened in the real story.

But this film wasn't like that at all. If you haven't seen it, and you like films based upon actual events, or particularly like films about things that went on during WWII, or are curious about things that happened back then, then I would highly recommend this film.

What about the Aliens vs Predator? Its a great film to watch.

i live in erie PA the mistake by the lake! im in thet tiny little blip of pa next to the lake. it takes about an hour to get from ohio to new york, lol

i have watched that as well but it isn't fresh in my mind so i have to watch it again. I am getting the hack for my DVD player that will allow me to watch region 2 dvds so i can buy little ashes and how to be on dvd from the UK.

I wanted to add, the movie was funny if you like or are familiar with British Humor of the type one would find in a Monty Python movie.
