Besides that.Like I said, Harry Potter certainly doesnt compare when it comes down to complexity,drama,and mature subject matter

Harry Potter is one thing, Twilight is another!

Comparisons enough for many! HP and Twilight are totally different things! No matter what you like most of the other, are different stories, different characters, different situations. Each one has the taste and it should be respected. Even more ridiculous is that it says a fan of both and still have the ability to compare them. Go reread the books, go.

I have no problem with people pointing out their differences.That,I agree with.They are TOTALLY different-Except the fact they are both mythical,mystical stories-THATS ALL

I would have to agree lol. But theres a difference in camparing their similarities and comparing their differences.I think what I and what most of us here would like to stop is people comparing them as if they were the same.

If this group was started to stop the Twilight/HP comparisons, how was that to be done without a thorough discussion on why the comparisons are made in the first place. If stopping it was the goal, then silence was the answer. No provision for comment should have been provided. As the comments only fuel the debate.

Fair enough.Like I said,you have the right to your opinion and I will respect it. "TheMan" is right-this group was started to STOP the Twilight/Harry Potter comparison,yet thats exactly what we are doing lol.Actually I wasnt "camparing" the 2 with my statement,I was just pointing out how they were different,not the same. So I agree,let's put an end to this.

This will be most likely my last answer. I don't have time.

I am on Twifans because of friends.
I am in this group because I want this comparing to stop, not because I am Twilight "hater" or whatever. You were the one who compared them first saying that HP sends "bad message" to children and I didn't want to start with vampires and the guy who sucks girl's blood and then seventeen-years old werewolf falls in love with her child. I don't want to COMPARE them. I really don't want to, so please don't do that too.
I will be polite, Twilight is nice book, it's romantic fluffy novel, not really into science fiction and I enjoyed reading it, ignoring some sentences. For me it's nice.
HP is a very good book, author created amazing world, characters, plot and I read all of them in two days. It's also one nice book. They are different kind of books and there is no for reason in comparing them.
I am sorry, maybe I am dumb, maybe I am not mature enough, but I really don't get your point.
Please don't ask anything else, let's leave it here. Maybe I'll change my mind in few years. Maybe you will. We can't know. :)
