edwards the perfect man, and she really loves him, so why settle for second best when you can have the BEST. jacob is her friend, but nobody can compare to edward.....thats what i think=)

Cause she just loves him more. I mean Edward always tells her how much he loves her, he's so possessive, how cruel he is with Jacob, all the magical ways he describes his love, and Bella loves him more. that's an incomprehensible amount of love.

The thing is Bella never chose Edward,because you don't have a choice in who you love.That's why love don't always love you back.if love had a choice every body would be happy and i would be married to ashley green..

I agree with Keyz. When Bella first met Edward she was fascinated with his inhuman beauty and how they first got to know each other. Once she realized that she was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him, it was like she no longer had a choice in the matter. It was just like Sam and Emily, neither of them had a choice either. Also I think that no matter what Jacob said Bella's subconscious was telling her that if she chose him over Edward there was the possibility that he would imprint on someone and leave her and then she would be alone. I think that part of her wasn't going to take that risk because she knew that no matter what Edward would never leave her again and that made the choice easier for her.

You can't always help who you fall in love with, you can only hope that they love you back with as much force that you love them with. That's why Edward was the truest of true loves, because he loved her more than she could ever imagine and she knew that with him that would never change and they would have the chance to love each other forever.
