I know, they are so different. What do you like about Bill? He's a new character to me, and I still don't have him wired out.

Edward's a dream come true. It's so easy to fall in love w/ him. He'll always be my 1st vampire love.

Since I've only read the books and not sure how much of them's been showed on the show I don't want to give out ant spoilers. I like Bill but he's a little wishy washy. He keeps leaving the door wide open for Eric w/ Sookie.

Now if you wanna talk about a smack-down, Edward vs. ERIC!!! Eric wins in my book. I so love Eric!! MMMMM!!!!! I want him to call me Lover!! If you don't know what I'm talking about read Dead to the World. Oh Eric in his itty bitty red bikini!! He's awsome.

I've seen the first season but not read the books (although I will remedy that in the next few weeks).

In the first season on HBO, Bill is really, really earthy and sexy and "sweep-you-off-your-feetish." Where I would love to have Edward as a close friend, I really, REALLY want to "have my way" with Bill. I mean, REALLY.

If you watch the first season (you can rent it from NetFlix), when Eric and Sookie first know each other in the biblical sense, there is one shot where the camera is placed so that it's looking up into Eric's face like you were seeing him from Sookie's eyes, and his face is not the typical Hollywood-hunk having sex. It's REAL. His face is very much like a man's face who is really into what he is doing, if you get my drift--not pretty, but very exciting.

I haven't seen much of Eric in the show since I've only seen the first season, but --and this may be because I just don't find blondies sexually attractive--he does not have the same emotion and sexual energy as Bill. Eric is more like the typical vampire we see in movies all the time. When Bill looks at Sookie, you can tell exactly what he is thinking and about 99% of the time it has to do with her having her legs in the air. When Eric is looking at Sookie, it's more like a typical vampire would look at her, with a little bit of the competition to own her between Bill and Eric.

These are just my opinions based on one season of TB. If anybody else has more knowledge and better-formed opinions, please post them! I hate being behind in a series I'm possessed by, but I just refuse to subscribe to HBO for one series.

LOL about Eric. I wonder where they found the actor to play Eric. The actor would have to have the best butt in the world, according to Sookie.

I'm up to book 7 now, and I've concluded that Bill is very Gemini. He expects a woman to commit herself to him alone, and he wanders off for months at a time (either with another woman or with a project), and then wandes back to pick up where he left off with Sookie, and Bill just doesn't quite understand why Sookie wasn't waiting for him when he returned with her legs in the air.

Eric to me is very Sagittarius.

The basic problem with Sookie having a love relationship with any of the vampires is that vampires, as a rule (at least how Charlain Harris writes them), think of humans like we think of cattle: useful for all kinds of things, but most people don't spend a lot of time wondering if it will inconvenience a cow if we take her calf and butcher it out for veal cutlets.

Eric is extremely considerate of her, for a vampire, but he still doesn't seem to be bothered by putting her in extreme danger if it will help him out in any way (including kissing up to Queen Sophie).

I wonder if Sookie and an older vampire (one who had been a vampire for a long time) would have a better relationship?

Oh well, I'm cheering for Quinn right now.

I would also go with Edward vs Eric more than Edward vs Bill!!
For me Bill is a blib on the radar...but Eric...Mmmmm...Dead to the world just made me fall in love with Eric!! He is still no Edward...but believe me a nite to spend with Eric...Welllll....Thats something any girl would love to expirience!!!
How hot would it be if he called you "Lover"?? Sookie is just an idiot if she ends up with someone else!!!
