How did you discover the twilight Saga?
I remember hearing about Twilight coming out on film from my
sisters. At the time, I was doing heavy promotional work for an
actor and was so consumed with my work that I didn’t even pay it
any mind. I honestly thought it was a just another low budget film
and a little “young” for me. My sisters also kept pushing me to see
the movie and read the books. They would go on and on about how
they were so fascinated by the Saga itself because it focused on
unrequited love, angst, and fantasy. I honestly didn’t think it was
for me because I’ve always been an action person. I decided one day
to see what the hype was, so I sat down and watched Twilight. From
then on, I was hooked. I researched, read, and listened to audio
books in a two week time frame. I fell in love with the characters
and what they had to deal with. I researched the actors who
portrayed these characters and watched every interview imaginable.
It became sort of an escape into a different world.
What makes you passionate about the saga?
The love story, the chemistry between characters, the idea of
fantasy meeting reality. It really truly touched me, especially
because I felt the story lines were so relatable. Aside from the
fantasy, I think everyone in some way or another had to deal with
love where it made your heart ache, losing/finding your true love,
and putting your trust and faith in someone. I feel like everyone
in a time of their life, has had to make a choice, whether it be
between two loves (because you can love two people at once) or just
a general case of sacrificing oneself for love or the person you
love. I’ve been there, I’m sure lots have been there. My passion
stems from the want and need of that young innocent love, that
feeling of instantly falling in love with your soul mate, the idea
of having your love tested and feeling like there could be another
choice for you. The suspense and mystery does it for me, too. As I
said, I was never a love story type of girl, but this really made
an impact on me.
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging for about 2 and half years now.
Favorite kinds of blogs to do?
My favorite kinds of blogs are those with originality. Those that
keep me interested. If you have something to say, I’m listening. I
love blogs that have substance, and accuracy. I thrive on this,
especially in my blogs because I’m not into writing nonsense, so I
look to reputable sources for my info. I love the feedback on my
blogs and find that people are commenting on actual news-worthy
text, whether it be my words or quoted. I’m not heavy into gossip
blogs. You may see me throw in a blog here and there on some
gossip, but only when I’m curious to get some feedback from my
readers. I want to see if there could be some truth behind it.
That’s rare though.
Any advice for new bloggers?
My advice is to be as accurate as possible and consistent because
your readers will not hesitate to bring your short-comings to
light. Be original and DON’T believe everything that’s written out
there. If you load your blogs with poison, your readers will think
your work is poison and not take you seriously. When you blog a
couple of times, find out what they like. Open your mind to
different types of subjects and people. You may have your personal
reservations about certain actors or the newest thing going on. You
may, one day, not like what a certain actor is wearing or what they
may be saying, but being a true blogger, you should try and look at
your blog on the outside. What will your bloggers like? Will they
relate to your comments on the blog? Be real about it, but don’t be
negative either because you will never get anyone to appreciate
your hard work. You should also interact with your readers. Join in
comments and conversations. There are days you may get 70 comments
to your blog, 2 comments, or 0 – never get discouraged in writing.
There plenty more in that imaginative brain of yours. Most
importantly, have fun with it and know that you did your best work
and nothing less. If they like it, celebrate. If they don’t, move
on to the next.

How did you discover the twilight Saga?
Well, (hold the throwing tomatoes) I actually discovered Twilight
*after* the first movie came out. I am not going to lie, when I saw
previews for the movie, I was turned off for one main reason *The
vampires did not have fangs*, plain and simple.
See, I am an old school vampire lover. My grandmother actually let
me watch the original Nosferatu as a young child (yea, my Grandma
rocked) and from that moment on, I was mesmerized by anything that
had to do with the fanged, undead. My love through the years went
from The Lost Boys, to Bram Stokers Dracula to all of Anne Rice's
books and of course Interview with a Vampire and then there was a
bit of a *vampire drought* in Hollywood and in books.
With all that being said, it was around Mother's Day and I decided
to rent Twilight just for the hell of it. I have seen every other
vampire movie to date, so I thought I would at least add this to
*seen it at least* list. I watched the DVD and then it hit me like
train. I was instantly a Twi-Hard, Twi-Mom, Twi-Aidinslevel. ;o) I
had my husband buy me the Twilight DVD for Mothers Day, I got on
EBay and bought all 4 books (hard copy of course), I downloaded all
the books into PDF format and bought a digital version of the movie
for my Ipod. I was Twi-covered no matter where I was. From there, I
started searching out friends and websites that also shared the
same love of all Twilight and Twifans was the best site around!
What makes you passionate about the saga?
Being a grown woman, I actually started out as a closet Twi-Hard.
As much as I wanted to shout from the rooftops my new found love of
reading and the Twilight movies, I was not sure how co-workers and
friends would take me. I am your typical goth gal (always have
been, always will be) and I had to keep up my rough, bitchy, moody
exterior (BAHAHA!). But, with being your typical goth gal, also
comes with *not caring one little bit what others think* and so I
did shout it from the rooftops and talked to everyone that would
listen about my love of all Twilight.
As a wife, it has brought on a whole new euphoric feeling of love
into my relationship. The love the resonates in you when you see
someone in a crowd and that fire rises from the pit of your stomach
into your throat because you know they are the right one. The
intensity of the squirm in your stomach when you have your first
kiss, and the tingling of your fingers when you hear the words *I
Love You*. Mind you, my husband and I never fell out of love, but
when you are with someone for years, you sometimes need a reminder
of how things were when you first met. A reminder of what drew us
together in the first place.
The Twilight Saga has done that. Not only does my passion for saga
resonate in my blog, but it also resonates at home with feelings
that had been buried by everyday life.
How long have you been blogging?
I blogged about everyday life on LiveJournal for a long time. Many
years actually. When I found Twifans, I lurked for quite awhile and
then one day I just dove in. I have not looked back since, I am
having too much blogging about something I feel has engrained
itself into my life… Twilight.
Favorite kinds of blogs to do?
HA! Twifans blogs of course. There is a plethora of Twi-information
out there and I have befriended many sources that give me the *hook
up* to blog about Twilight all day, if I wanted to. My blogs
include anything and everything about the saga. Video's, pictures,
articles, fan made art, you name it, I will post it. I *lurv* it
all.
Advice for new bloggers?
First and foremost, have fun. That is the point to blogging.
Talking about what you love with other people who share in your
vested interest. Not everyone is going to like what you post, and
you know what, so what. As long as you are following the rules of
Twifans, it is yours, own it, and be proud of it.

How did you discover the twilight Saga?
The first I've heard of the Twilight Saga was in October 2008, a
friend's daughter was so into the books that she was telling me all
about them during a weekend in Ottawa. How she had read them again
and again. Then a few months later, during, my Christmas vacation
in Toronto, my nieces and nephews wanted me to go to the movies
with them to see Twilight. I went with them wishing we would go see
another movie, but they insisted on seeing Twilight. Well, they we
right to insist, as I completely fell in love with the story. And
as soon as I came out from the theatre that day, I went to buy the
books and read all 4 in about 3 weeks. And I'm usually not into
reading books but this time, I was so into the story, I couldn't
stop reading every minute I had, everywhere and anywhere. And from
there, I became almost obsessed. I read the books more than one, in
English, then Spanish, then French...Saw Twilight and New Moon
movies over 20 times and saw Eclipse 3 times only in the first
weekend and will see it over and over again and I can't wait for
Breaking Dawn. I also love to see, hear and read anything Twilight
related. I love to hear about the Twilight stars and what they are
up too. I can't get enough. Even if some people might think I'm
crazy at time, I can confirm that Twilight as become a true passion
for me. I'm a true Twifan. And must say that I spread my passion
for Twilight to my surroundings and now my friends are Twifans as
well.
What makes you passionate about the saga?
It's the perfect blend of romance and action, plus the fact that
the story can totally relate to your own life: the beautiful and
passionate love story between Bella & Edward and the love
triangle with Jacob, the family values of the Cullen’s, the
friendship between Jacob and Bella but also, the friendship within
the wolf pack, the danger that emanates from the Volturi, James,
Victoria and Laurent as well as with the newborns.
How long have you been blogging?
I started blogging about a year ago, and I love it. I love to give
my opinions on things and to read other people's (from all over the
world) opinion as well.
Favorite kinds of blogs to do?
My favorite kind of blog is most likely any Twilight Saga related
blog, but it must be accurate and filled with a lot of news,
stories, and photos every day. That's why Twifans.com rapidely
became one of my favorite Twilight related blog.
Any advice for new bloggers?
Find a subject you are passionate about (Twilight or something
else) and don't hesitate to share news, photos, opinions as it
might be scary at first, but as soon as you start it will rapidly
become addictive (it sure did for me). And I'm sure you will love
it too! So ready, set, blog!!!!
