Chris Weitz will not direct the third film in the Twilight series, Eclipse, a source close to the production tells EW.com exclusively. Because New Moon, which Weitz is helming, and Eclipse are due to be released so close together (on Nov. 20, 2009, and June 30, 2010, respectively), Weitz will… Continue

Remember that story that suggested Lucas Grabeel would be a good match to play Alec in New Moon? Well, fuggedabouit–it’s not going to be him:
PopStar: Lucas, do you care to comment on the rumors that you will be playing Alec in New Moon?
Lucas: Yeah, my girlfriend told me that the other day. I think that is funny, none of that is actually true. I have not auditioned and have not been approached.
Actually, there… Continue

I just took the Reelz quiz on New Moon that Alison posted in her blog:
I never new that that was a flower on the cover of New Moon! I always thought it was a feather with blood dripping on it. Did anyone else see a feather or was it just me?

I have read Twilight twice, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, and Midnight Sun once each. I want to read the rest again, but two things are slowing me down. First I have a huge pile of books to read checked out from the library that have been recommended by people who loved Twilight, so I'm working on those before I have to return them. Second, I keep putting off re-reading New Moon because it's so depressing.
So how many times have you read each book? Does it keep getting better?

I'll admit it, probably to lots of boos, I really didn't care if they replaced Jacob's actor AT THIS POINT. Any further into the series and I would have cared of course. It wasn't that I didn't like Taylor as Jacob. I thought he did a really good job. It was just that I had a really hard time seeing him transform after he starts shape shifting into a foot taller 25 year old looking guy.
Now that it's decided I'm glad, simply so that the fans that loved him will be happy. I wasn't… Continue

Everyone is all up-in-arms about the supposed possibility of Disney actors auditioning for New Moon. Yeah, maybe a couple of them are, but in my opinion
, I doubt they're even being considered.
I'll admit it. I like Brenda Song. She's perky and adorable. Yeah, I'm not a kid anymore, but I tune into the Disney channel every once in a while, and I really like watching her host Disney's 'Pass the Plate'. But COME ON, PEOPLE! Brenda being considered for Leah
? The CD is… Continue

I found this on www.stepheniemeyer.com!!
I am so happy!!!
This is a note from Chris Weitz:
I'm very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he's doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.
The characters in Stephenie's books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it… Continue

Louise over on the twilight lexicon forums posted this
article. In a nutshell, it discusses the possibility of Taylor being re-cast and the other choices that may or may not be being considered.
I'm a gullible person, but I've been pretty realistic about the rumors lately. Brenda and Vanessa being considered for the role of Leah? I'm not putting much stock in that. However, this article seems to be… Continue

Has anyone else ever had trouble getting to the point of re-reading New Moon? I love Twilight so I re-read it before the movie came out to have it fresh in my mind, but I haven't been able to bring myself to re-read New Moon. I got into a depression the first time I read it that lasted for a week and was really intense. I have never had a book affect me that way before. I think it was a combination of things. The memory of how powerful first love is, especially when you are a teenager. Also, it… Continue
