The newest update on stepheniemeyer.com is a recap of Stephenies's summer. It includes book and music recommendations.

Hey everybody! I hope you all had a great summer. I'm sorry I don't update more, but it's crazy how busy you can be without really having anything to update about. I decided to do an end of the summer recap like I did last…Continue
Stephenie Meyer has been accused of plagiarizing one of her best-selling tomes.
Self-described writer-singer Jordan Scott has sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Twilight mastermind, accusing Meyer of blatantly ripping off Scott's vampire love trilogy, The Nocturne—parts of which she posted online back in 2003 and which therefore, she claims, were readily available for Meyer to swindle.
Her debut novel, L.A. Candy, tops the New York Times best-seller list for the second week since its June 16 release.
This begs an oh-so-obvious question: Might the Hills hottie be the next Stephenie Meyer?
Sure, the Twilight author can tout some ridiculous number of weeks at the top for the four books combined, as well as that whole Robert Pattinson movie thing, but L.C. is just getting started. Plus, the blond beauty… Continue
Last week was the official launch of breaking dawn in Brazil. The Brazilian version called "Amanhecer" sold more than 215.000 books in a week. It's like 21 books sold per minute!
Stephenie Meyer has four books in the top five more sold books in Brazil.
This is a note [in portuguese] of one of the biggest magazines in Brazil Continue

Stephenie Meyer has a new book called "THE HOST" and if you havent read this book, I suggest (highly suggest) you do. It's a fantastic next step in Stephenie's writting, especially for those who loved "TWILIGHT SAGA" though it felt like it lacked a more adult feel. If you have not read the book, here is a synopsis, but there are spoilers ahead in this post!
Stephenie Meyer might have already released her Twilight finale, but that doesn't mean fans of the franchise will have to let go of the series just yet. Little, Brown will be publishing several books this fall that are tied in with the franchise. Along with movie tie-in literature for this year's New Moon adaptation, the publisher will also release a limited special edition of Breaking Dawn, as well as journals that feature cover art for all… Continue

One of the keys to Stephenie Meyer's creative process is her music. On her site she has Music lists of the songs that inspired her for each book. When she did her Breaking Dawn tour she had Justin Furstenfeld from Blue October perform some songs. One of the songs performed "My Never" was not available at the time. Well now it is!
I think it is an amazing song and you can download (if you are interested) on iTunes. It's on the Blue October album available now called "Approaching Normal".… Continue
Ok so here are some pics of the CD that I won from the video contest. I was so excited when I got home from work and there it was sitting on my table! Of course it was already open and everyone in my whole house had a good look at it. And to my surprise, it was signed TWICE! My brother threatened to color over it with permanent marker....which isn't a very good thing to say if he wishes to be able to walk in the future lol. Never get in the way of a twifan and her autographed twilight… Continue
***Spoiler alert - mostly starting near the end of the 2nd paragraph - don't read if you haven't read New Moon***
If you have been following my blog, you know I have been re-reading, or rather listening (audiobook) to New Moon. This is only my second time reading New Moon because it depressed me so bad the first time I read it I kept putting off re-reading it. The first time I read it, I got so depressed I didn't even cry, I just moped for a week while I read the book. Lost my… Continue

Paris Match has a brand new interview with New Moon author Stephenie Meyer:
Paris Match: How do you explain “Twilight” success?
Stephenie Meyer: It is more and more mysterious, but it’s deeply moving. When I started writing, the Vampire’s theme was a pretty strange subject. I did not think to write a novel about it. Then I was intrigued by the characters, by the story. I could not stop playing with them, to let them evolve.… Continue
Author Stephenie Meyer does not enjoy comparisons with JK Rowling, the creator of Harry Potter. Matt Sayles / AP
Night-time dreams rarely come true (thankfully, for most of us), although they can certainly shape our destiny. Just consider Stephenie Meyer. Five years ago, she was a bubbly if unassuming mother of three from Glendale, Arizona. One night in slumber land, however, her life changed forever.
