About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Stephenie Meyer was going to be in Tempe, AZ at an address I knew.
Second, there was a dress there that I wanted...and it wasn't going to be cheap.
And third, I was intently and tenaciously going to fight for it.

I woke up so excited to be in the vicinity of Stephenie Meyer that day. I… Continue

I read a poem written for the event by Laura Middleton, limericist extraordinaire. She made references to all the attending authors in there.
Twelve authors, reclusively hiding,
Were quietly doing their writing,
But when cancer messed
With their Book Babe's breast,
They emerged from their caves to go fighting.
They unsheathe… Continue

Enough said right? There are $25 tickets
still available at the Project Book Babe
event. Which is hard for me to comprehend. Stephenie Meyer rarely does appearances, she is not going to ANY conventions, and has no foreseeable book signing events in the future. If that is not enough incentive to get there then go for the… Continue

Update from StephenieMeyer.com
I'm adding one more very special, one-of-a-kind item to my auction list for the Save the Book Babe event this Saturday. Hobo Skateboards has designed a beautiful The Host-themed board just for this fund raiser. Am I allowed to bid on this stuff? I'd better check.
I suppose I should mention that this is, in spite of the… Continue

Taylor Lautner on hand at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards to accept the award of Favorite Book!! Whoo hoo. A fact all of us have known for a long time.
"This is awesome," Taylor Lautner told the crowd. "Stephenie Meyer wanted to tell you guys 'thank you.' And I can tell you firsthand you guys are gonna love [the 'New Moon' movie]."…

I am so excited about these items because I am going to the ProjectBookBabe
event. I keep hearing about ladies from some of the other sites fighting over the dress. They have no idea I will also be in the trenches and let's keep it that way! But I will really be digging in deep for lunch with Mrs. Meyer and the Forever Dawn! I will keep you updated via Twitter that day on the days events. So sign up for… Continue

So this trip to the book signing was the toughest trip ever. We are in Coronado for Spring break. We get stuck in an hour long traffic stand still on the way to the event. Then my car overheats! It has never done that before. Then we are an hour late. Doors opened at 6 pm and the event started at 7 pm. We ran into the venue at 7 pm. It took us 4 hours for a 2 hour trip. But from the video and pictures you can see it was worth it!…

The Story Behind the Writing of New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
**A note: I don't pull any punches here, so if you haven't read New Moon and you don't want to be spoiled, don't read this.**
Writing a sequel is a very different experience than writing a story. It was for me, at least.
If you've read the story behind Twilight, then you know that I didn't set out to write a novel or begin a career as an author. I was just writing down a story for my personal enjoyment,… Continue

Try this NEW game.
What you need...
- the books
- atleast 3 people
- a chat screen
How to play...
1. Choose someone to call quotes. That person then picks the book they want to quote from and makes sure everyone playing has that book.
2. The person calling quotes calls a quote for example "stupid shiny volvo owner" which is in Twilight. Everyone else has to find out the page number of… Continue

According to the Wall Street Journal we are officially in the number 2 spot. But 5 out of 15 spots isn't bad!!!! Still dominating the charts if you look at it that way. And PS Twilight is still in my theaters here in Arizona.
1. "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw" by Jeff Kinney (Amulet)
2. "Eclipse" by Stephenie Meyer (Little, Brown Books for Young Readers)
3. "Breaking Dawn" by Stephenie Meyer (Little, Brown Books for Young… Continue

OK it's not Twilight, but nothing is except TWILIGHT. That said, I have found a 4 book series I really like. I'm 1/2 way done with the 3rd book so I feel pretty comfortable recommending it. In addition to vampires it also involves mages and other supernatural, but the heroine is a magically inclined human. It's much darker than Twilight and definitely an adult book. There is some sex and violence. The author is Karen Chance and I don't know if the 4th is a final book of the series or if she… Continue

I just took the Reelz quiz on New Moon that Alison posted in her blog:
I never new that that was a flower on the cover of New Moon! I always thought it was a feather with blood dripping on it. Did anyone else see a feather or was it just me?

According to New York Entertainment there is 28 reasons why the movie MAY BE is better than the book. I don't necessarily agree but this is still great for all Twilighters' in general!
1. First of all, the demands of compressing a 500-page book into a two-hour movie mean that most of the boring scenes of Edward brooding about stuff have been cut. In fact, for the entire middle third of the movie, Edward seems happy most of the time, which Robert Pattinson frankly plays a lot better… Continue
