OK it's not Twilight, but nothing is except TWILIGHT. That said, I have found a 4 book series I really like. I'm 1/2 way done with the 3rd book so I feel pretty comfortable recommending it. In addition to vampires it also involves mages and other supernatural, but the heroine is a magically inclined human. It's much darker than Twilight and definitely an adult book. There is some sex and violence. The author is Karen Chance and I don't know if the 4th is a final book of the series or if she… Continue

So I see all the Twilight conventions popping up. I had hoped to go somewhere neat like San Fran but Feb was too soon for me. I need more of a summer trip. So now that there is one in Atlanta, little over 6 hour drive for me, I'm seriously considering going. It's in the summer so it will be hot as heck in Atlanta, but it could be fun.
One of my concerns is that I'll end up being one of the only 30 somethings there. Do you think it will be mostly teens or more folks 20+? Are you going… Continue

I went to see the new Underworld movie this weekend and I liked it. I honestly liked the others better, but this was an interesting prequel. I won't go into much more so I don't spoil it for anyone, but if you like vampire movies, can handle some violence and sex, then I would highly recommend it!

OK, for clarification to those of you who live due North, when it snows down here in the South, we get what's called a snow day which is like a free vacation day off of work. You don't have to make it up and depending on where you work you still get paid!
So as I sit here watching the snow fall outside, what am I doing? Catching up on my twifans blog reading of course! I'm also cooking some Injeera (Ethiopian bread) which is time-consuming because you have to cook each one slowly in… Continue

I just took the Reelz quiz on New Moon that Alison posted in her blog:
I never new that that was a flower on the cover of New Moon! I always thought it was a feather with blood dripping on it. Did anyone else see a feather or was it just me?

****SPOILER ALERT if you haven't read Breaking Dawn*********
I read the entire series before reading any fansites, fanfiction, etc. So I had no preconceived notions of how Breaking Dawn would unfold. I did want a happy ending and I did want Bella to get married to Edward and also become vampire. However, I did not expect or really like the pregnancy. I know it's Stephenie's world and she can write what she wants, but I… Continue

I have read Twilight twice, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, and Midnight Sun once each. I want to read the rest again, but two things are slowing me down. First I have a huge pile of books to read checked out from the library that have been recommended by people who loved Twilight, so I'm working on those before I have to return them. Second, I keep putting off re-reading New Moon because it's so depressing.
So how many times have you read each book? Does it keep getting better?

I have to say I love this site! Before I'd jump from site to site to get my Twilight fix. Now I just come here and sometimes a couple of others. Between everyone's blogs here it's hard to miss any breaking news. Lexicon and TST are my other 2 favorite sites for Twilight.
How about you, where do you go to scratch your Twilight itch online?

Today I went to see Twilight for the 3rd time today and I was pleased to see the theater full! We actually had to sit near the front to get 2 seats together. I have to say it just gets better every time I see it. I liked it the first time I saw it, but I keep noticing even more things each time I see it and I still say they did some of the best casting possible. Everyone played their roles perfectly.
So how many times have you seen the movie? Does it get better each time you see it?… Continue

I'll admit it, probably to lots of boos, I really didn't care if they replaced Jacob's actor AT THIS POINT. Any further into the series and I would have cared of course. It wasn't that I didn't like Taylor as Jacob. I thought he did a really good job. It was just that I had a really hard time seeing him transform after he starts shape shifting into a foot taller 25 year old looking guy.
Now that it's decided I'm glad, simply so that the fans that loved him will be happy. I wasn't… Continue

I enjoy reading about why people like one book of the series more than another. It varies a lot and people have different reasons for liking a specific book best. For me it is and has been since the beginning, Twilight. I just love the discovery and romance and the way it unfolds slowly. Even though the back cover gives away that Edward is a vampire, it's still fun watching Bella figure it out. Also, for me it's the book where I really felt I could identify with Bella.
After that I… Continue

I find it interesting that I love Stephenie's writing and world of Twilight and I love much of her taste in music. Have any of you found that to be true for you as well? Maybe because she says the music inspired much of the writing - if you like the music you'll like the saga? I've always loved alternative music, not just to be alternative, I just like the sound. I love Radiohead, Muse, and Pixies just to name a few favorites.
I thought the soundtrack was great for Twilight, although… Continue

Has anyone else ever had trouble getting to the point of re-reading New Moon? I love Twilight so I re-read it before the movie came out to have it fresh in my mind, but I haven't been able to bring myself to re-read New Moon. I got into a depression the first time I read it that lasted for a week and was really intense. I have never had a book affect me that way before. I think it was a combination of things. The memory of how powerful first love is, especially when you are a teenager. Also, it… Continue

So one thing I notice on every Twilight fan site is that I tend to be one of the older folks. I'm 38 and I do not have children so I don't fit in with Twilight Moms either. So are there any other upper 30 somethings out there or even older? Or am I an oddity?

Just found out about the twifans community while browsing the Lexicon. Glad to be here, glad to find it! Been a Twilight fan for a few months now since reading the series. Always looking for folks who want to chat about the series!
