My Book Collection + Growing!

Even, though, I'm sure I've had a love for reading since I read my first book, Footprints in the Snow, when I was six or five, The Twilight Saga really helped me enjoy reading more and understand why people loved to read so much. Twilight haters, the least positive thing you can say is it gets kids and other people reading.

Anyway, since being quite…

Darkest Night (Chap. 11)

As I drive, my eyes are blinded by a fear I've never known.

Twilight is setting in, and I can just barely make out the road through the dark haze covering my eyes. I've gotta get home to Charlie! Tell him everything I've done and begin to say why we're both in danger as we speak, is a thought of mine. Suddenly, my truck stops. It won't start again!

I look out of the window and see nothing, nothing is holding my truck back. That I know of, at least.…

Darkest Night (Chap. 10)

Bram Stoker. Anne Rice. Before I made my unforgettable move to Forks, Washington, their vampires is how I imagined a vampire to be. They weren't real anyway, right? So I didn't have to contemplate on what is or what isn't real. Until I saw a pale group of students sitting in the Forks High cafeteria. I didn't know I'd love him, or that I'd adapt to his family and lifestyle so quickly - or that I would risk my life and the ones I love lives by being chased by James, a tracker…

Darkest Night (Chap. 9)

My legs move forward in a hurried pace, then a dash towards the front doors. It was stuck. How did it get in? I kicked the door open, spraining my ankle in the process. This is something you see almost only in action movies. And they never sprain their ankles doing it. I see the figure standing at the top of the staircase that leads to other, much higher, parts of the house. I race to get it. But I think it's a him. I'm out of breath when I reach a bedroom door . . . Edward's old room. I'm…

Must-Read Books

Of course, I think, it's safe to say we've all read Stephenie's Twilight Saga, which although they were amazing and original within themselves, here are more books that are also unique, a bit bizarre, amazing, and above all --- a must-read:

1.) Unwind by Neal Shusterman…

Darkest Night (Chap. 8)

I was on guard the entire day. Charlie ignored me mostly, lost in a sea of beer. He had found empty beer bottles in the garbage that weren't his, I quickly said, "I think you've had more than what you can remember," I felt wrong for lying. He accepted it. That night, I had laid a kitchen knife on my sink and slashed away at the tiny shards in my arms. It was a bloody mess. It mixed in with water, ran in wet, bloody trails down my arms and off my hands, dripping from my fingertips, and…

Darkest Night (Chap. 7)

As my eyes opened, I was taken back to last night. The girl being mutilated even worse, and if that wasn't bad enough, dream demon was there. How long had he been in my house? Right under my nose and I couldn't see him. I was too blinded by my fears of him that he slipped under my radar. Is he still down there? I shake my head, eyes closed. My head aches from sleeping so soundly on the ground, a headache making its presence known. I try to open my eyes, but all I see is the glare of sun. The…

Fire in Her Eyes ( Just something I wrote . . . )

For the first time in her life, she didn't see herself as the girl with bizarre-looking eyes. But the girl that a guy painted sunsets in her eyes. She didn't bother to twirl her hair. Long, wavy, but she didn't like it. It was another oddity about her she felt, a single new hair color made up of three others: red, blonde, and pale auburn. She was pretty. Her mother, when she was a little child, always said she looked so weird, so out of place.…

Darkest Night (Chap. 6)

The body --- her body --- was gray. Not pale, just gray. The lightest shade of black. Her eyes were rolled back into her head, her mouth hanging wide open. She was lying on her back with her arms spread out. She was nude.

Her hair was a dark brown that had waves and curls. But I noticed that she hadn't just been murdered, dream demon murdered her. And painted with her own blood in my bedroom. The world fell silent as they watched me take a stick and poke around her.…

Darkest Night (Chap. 5)

I woke up early --- again. Silently I walked through the dark halls and down the stairs. Charlie was in bed tonight, after when I got home again saying he couldn't sleep well while I was gone, and spent his nights tossing and turning on the couch. I was worried he would have fallen apart without me here, anyway. I peered out the kitchen window. My eyes told me rest, my mind told me to stay alert. After gazing outside for at least ten minutes, the trees moved quietly and I could feel the air…

Darkest Night (Chap. 4)

When I wake, my fingers are numb from the cold. I stretch my arms as far as the truck will allow me until I have officially awoken. Food, is the first thought that comes to my mind. Where will I get it? How will I get it? I think Edward has cursed me. Back at home, I would have gotten up and ate breakfast with a drousy Charlie and made us coffee. Edward, I believed, would feed me even if it took taking what little food supplies third-world countries had and emptied out the…

Darkest Night (Chap. 3)

I bolt through the front door. Charlie is in the same place where I left him just this morning: the kitchen table. He jumps up at the slam of the door. "Hey, Bells?" He asks, the urgent tone of his voice both obvious and unsettling. But I don't bother to answer him. Instead I go up to my room and slam it shut. I sit on the bed, contemplating my next move. Where do I go? How do I get there?, I think. I'm biting my fingernails again, straight down to the nub. I manage to stop once I…

Darkest Night (Chap. 2)

I venture to a cemetery. The one Jacob is buried. A few feet in front of me, I see a headstone with Jacob Black written boldly. The date from when he was born to the the day he died. Jacob Black: Incredible Son and Devoted Friend.

That's it?

Jacob is more than an incredible son and devoted friend. He's loyal and unafraid. He's mine. Bella Swan's. A tear rolls down my cheek. I love you. And I miss you. My heart tears into, the feeling of being…

Darkest Night ( Chap. 1)

I woke up in a puddle of cold sweat and shivers of ice down my spine. I hadn't been asleep long, considering it's still dark out. My nightmares were filled with visions of Edward, and my last visions of Jacob. Where are they now? Have Alice and Edward gone to be one of the Volturi's own? No, not ever. At least not now. I sat up, propping myself on an elbow. I glanced around the darkened room, nervous and frozen. Even without Edward and Jacob's haunting of my sleep, there was always someone…
