Twilight beefcake Alex Meraz might be a heartthrob among the film’s “werewolf” fans, but he still can’t get his wife to leave Team Edward.

 

“That’s a battle I won’t ever win,” he joked to Celebuzz. “She was a fan of the original books and first movie. She loved Robert Pattinson and wanted to be a vampire girl. It was the craziest thing.”

 

He’s not too upset about her loyalty to R.Pattz’s character though, because it was her devotion to the series that eventually landed him the role of a hot-tempered werewolf named Paul in New Moon and Eclipse.

 

“She was the one who told me about the audition and pushed me into getting a role,” he said.
