Alison's 1st Day in Vancouver: Jacob's House

So it's my first day in beautiful Vancouver and I set out to find the New Moon movie locations that I knew I could find. I knew the shooting was completed at Jacob's house for now but wanted to see it anyways. When will I ever be in Vancouver again right?

So thanks to Twitter and all my friends on there I found Billy & Jacob's house. It was about a 30 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

There was no movement that could be seen even though there were 2 cars int he driveway. The gnome made me laugh. Is Billy going to collecting garden gnomes for fun? Other than that and a green hamper inside the front door, the only other items were junk all over the yard. Not sure if it was for the set or just the way the house was found.

The area around the house is perfect. Moss on the trees, sporadic meadows here and there. Some paved roads and some dirt. It really felt right.

Here is me and my girls excited to have found it!

Now that I'm at work, I got the see the awesome pics of the houses and your daughters! They are so cute...I'm always amazed at how kids look just like their parents, genetics always amazes me. :) Anywho...thanks for sharing! Its like you're going out there trekking the places we'd only seen in youtube videos! Reminds me of visiting places I'd only seen on TV or in pictures...for you, its places in a movie! Yay!
