Anna Kendrick: I will refuse to perform nude scenes

Anna Kendrick has revealed she refuses to do nude scenes in her movies.
The Twilight star told The Telegraph that as she moves into more adult
roles she feels no need to take her clothes off on screen.
Anna said: "Emphatically, no. I will not do that."
The 24-year-old actress, who was nominated for an Oscar for her part in
comedy Up In The Air, went on: "I have been lucky because I have not
been pigeon-holed into the teenage movie category.
"I am not criticising people who do that [nude scenes] but I plan to keep doing what I am doing and hope it keeps going good."

I just became a fan of her the second I read this. Nudity leaves nothing to the imagination, makes certain films unacceptable for a lot of viewers, and degrades the quality of the actor. A lot of Holly woods leading legends have never done overly nude and made it to the top to stay. If an audience is starving to see people butt naked maybe they should be in the privacy of their own homes with something XXX. I promise I am far from a prude but the feelings that any breathing human has when they see an attractive person naked... those emotions are to be felt in an one on one setting.

THANK YOU ANNA. You know self-respect. Good for you! And this goes for all that Breaking Dawn crap where everyone is like: "oh if it's not rated R it won't be good because there won't be any sex scenes!" God, it's like everyone wants to see Edward and Bella nude. Same for most of the rest of the world with other things. Like you said @Jamie Giffin: if they want to see someone butt naked, do it in the privacy of your homes or something!! Really!

I don't mind nude scenes. They can be really tasteful, as one commenter said. You know, it's not like it's pornography where it's meant to be seen as overly sexual. I think sex scenes in films are supposed to show human nature and how beautiful the body is. But Anna can respect herself in whichever way she sees fit. Fine by me.
