Catherine Hardwicke And Shiloh Fernandez Talk About Rob, Kristen And Their Romance

Warning: Shiloh is a bit of a meanie.

I'm not sure when this interview took place, but it was certainly for the "Red Riding Hood" promotion.

Maybe there's something going on with this actor. Seems like young actresses like Kristen and Amanda weren't really psyched to work with him.

He thought she couldn't speak so he just ignored her and talked to CH instead. He didnt realize that kristen's decision will have a lot of impact on who will be cast as edward. And as for CH, she said that it was "legendary" when robsten first met and the search for edward ended right then and there.

I have been reading a lot of old articles and watching interviews from when Twilight came out. RPatz says in his interviews he went to the audition just to meet KStew. When Shiloh says she couldn't speak was he suggesting she couldn't act?

People are trying to copy Twilight but they don't realize that it's the books that we've fallen for. You can try to bring in other franchises like Mortal Instruments and Vampire Academy to make it different and make it more action oriented BUT TWILIGHT IS LOVED BECAUSE IT'S TWILIGHT. You can't make that happen again.

I cant believe katherine was going to give this guy the part of edward.. thank goodness kristen had a say in the matter and was love at 1st site when rob first walked in :-)

Comment by rosy on February 10, 2011 at 12:51pm: @michelle yeah, as u say shiloh is a kind of arogrant and temper and may be moody.. but i guess that is why he was the right choice for edward first place, but he really couldnt see kstew. if he tried to see her inside (not only the surface), she might said something through her eyes but not the words. and things could been the different. (and i am ofcourse so glad it did not happen..sorry)

i remember rob said about his first impression about kstew, i really dont remember all his exact words, but something like "she seemed like always has something anger in her, doesnt say much, so i (rob) talk a lot like stupid, even she is very much younger than i am, i felt like, what am i doing?"and he was laughing about himself...like always he does..well, there were a big difference between shiloh and rob besides the chamistry, rob was looking her eyes to see real kstew even she was scary a bit! haha.. good job, rob!

anyway i think shiloh has something very powerful in his voice, i felt strange when i heard his voice in very short sentence. kind of sexy i guess, so i really understand he was almost the edward..yeah i do...but you know i am in love with rob...so thanks for shiloh what he did in the audition anyway..
