Chapter 2:lunch

As I walked into the lunchroom I got a tray and sat down at an empty table. I played around with my mashed potatoes then threw my fork down on the table. “Hey, you could poke an eye out by that.” I heard Damion say laughing. “Ha ha very funny.” I said as I turned around to see his beautiful eyes. “Aren’t you supposed to be a junior?” I also asked “Um… no, I’m just new here.” he said. “oh it’s just that um…” I murmured. “Shhhh.” he said as he grabbed my hand. “Oh sorry” he said as he let go of my right hand. “That’s ok, I… um your hand is very warm.” I said blushing. As we finished our lunch he walked me back to my locker. “Hey how come you didn’t eat anything at lunch?” he asked me. “Oh I wasn’t that hungry today.” I said. “Here.” he said as he gave me a piece of paper. “It’s my phone number, I want you to call me later. I mean if you want to?” I cut him off as I grabbed the piece of paper out of his hands. “yes, I will call you later.” I said. “Good I knew you would take it.” Damion said as he gave me a smile and grabbed my hand, dragging me to class. When we got to last period and Damion still holding my hand my health teacher giving us a look as he said “cut it out Ms. Hethel, you too Mr. Cletch.” We both blushed and let go of each other’s hands and, took our seats.
