"Actor Evan Sneider, starring in Jackson’s upcoming movie Girlfriend, needs some cheering up. Evan has down syndrome and after producer Shaun Obanion posted the trailer for the movie on Youtube last week, many insensitive individuals started posting very offensive comments to Evan. Unfortunately, Evan read those comments and got very upset. He called Shaun to let him know. Now, Shaun has done everything he can to cheer him up and remove the offensive remarks from youtube, but he wants to do something more and wants a little fan help."
If you have a Twitter, tweet a message in support to Evan, to the producer’s account: @ shaun_obanion .
Your message must be written as if you were writing to Evan. You can use twitlonger for a nice long message. Include your name and country. You have ’til Wednesday.
Shaun will put together a book with nice messages to Evan so he sees there’s plenty of people on the Internet who respect him and admire him as a person and as an actor.
EDIT: Shaun tweeted me today this:
shaun_obanion just wrote: @aidinslevel Thanks. We actually closed the
campaign the other night because the response was so huge... So make sure
people know 1/2
shaun_obanion just wrote: @aidinslevel 2/2 we aren't able to accept any
further messages in regard to Evan. Thank you so much.
@aidinslevel If anyone wants to post messages to Evan, send them to MessageForEvan@yahoo.com not on YouTube, please. (1/2)
I am actually a special needs advocate for children and I find this seriously appalling that
people sick people could act in such a manner…. So lets all send Evan a special message telling him how truly talented and wonderful he is, Jackson Rathbone would be much obliged as would Evan!
