Deadline reports: Jamie Campbell Bower gets role of Jace in 'Mortal Instruments'
Jamie Campbell Bower, Twilight Volturi Caius has just been announced to be playing lead male role in the movie or movies 'Mortal Instruments.'
From Deadline EXCLUSIVE: Screen Gems has made its choice: Jamie Campbell Bower will get the male lead in The Mortal Instruments, the Scott Charles Stewart-directed adaptation of the Cassandra Clare novel series. He'll play Jace Wayland, starring alongside Lily Collins, who'll play the lead heroine Clary Fray. She has The Sight, and can see both demons and Shadowhunters. Jace is one of the best of the latter.
'Immortal Instruments' is another YA novel series that is very good. I fully recommend putting it on your reading list.

Not sure why but I imagined Jamie more as Sebastian than Jace. Don't get me wrong I love Jamie to pieces and he's a really nice bloke but not so much how I imagined Jace. I admit I don't know how I imagined Jace to be honest, but I know how I didn't imagine him. I would have died if they had cast Jamie as Sebastian I think he would have been perfect.

some people here are so mean, whats wrong with you!!!!!!! all this "oh nooo" and "he is not good enough", bla bla...
maybe you should put a bit trust into the directors decission picking jamie for this role and put trust into jamie himself!!!
and to start a petition against him??! how old are some of you!!!! thats the same like it was with rob... and now everybody is like "he´s the perfect edward"!! give jamie a chance and grow up!

Jamie no physics Jays. Older. Looks like Magnus, but not the Jays. And Lily andJamie are much older than their characters. Do not forget that books will be 6.

he does look like magnus..O.O thats creepy< NOT JACE! But...we cant do a damn thing about this horrible decision now...so we will have to wait and hope that they fix him and make him look like jace...he looks like a little woman

So, Jamie Campbell Bower is Jace! I didn`t understand or get it, UNTIL i read Cassandra Clare`s own thoughts about it! She said that Jamie`ll go to the boot camp....and i`m guessing so will the other lead actors of that film also. And he`ll cut his hair! Cassandra did say that we will be suprised when we see Jamie ready as Jace!! And she also said that Jamie and Lily have a great chemistry! So, that movie will be a worth waiting for : )
