Director Chris Weitz Will Not Direct Eclipse?
According to EW.online: 'Twilight' exclusive: Chris Weitz will not direct third film, 'Eclipse'

Chris Weitz will not direct the third film in the Twilight series, Eclipse, a source close to the production tells EW.com exclusively. Because New Moon, which Weitz is helming, and Eclipse are due to be released so close together (on Nov. 20, 2009, and June 30, 2010, respectively), Weitz will be in post-production on New Moon at the same time that Eclipse will be shooting. That said, the source confirms a report that the movies will not be shot simultaneously or back-to-back; there will be a brief gap between the production of both films. (Reporting by Adam B. I don't know about you guys, but the musical directors thing makes me really uncomfortable!

I agree. Each director made HP better, The actor's grew, matured, the effects were better. I much rather have musical directors than no movies at all. It probably because the actor's want to get this done ASAP and move on to other projects. I'm sure it's something to do with their contracts as well. I much rather have each director have plenty of time for pre-production, shooting, & post to give us a quality product than a crappy movie from an overstretched director.

I think the rush is because the "vampires" are not supposed to age. RPatzz is what 22, playing a 17 year old already...they have to hurry!

i guess the age thing is significant enuf to make them rush but it couldve been an annual thing u kno... november 21, 08 november 20, 09 november 19, '10 november 18, '11... november wouldve been offically claimed twilight month... thanksgiving?? YES we're thankful for twilight... see how that works... but i mean the sooner the better... it comes quicker we all smile and are relieved but if it comes quicker that means its gonna be all over faster!!! hmmm wat a dilemma
