Do These Woods Look Familar?
I was watching a terrible movie today when I saw some woods that looked very familar. The movie? Hot Rod, Starring Andy Samberg. The woods? Well...see for yourself.
They look familar, right? Sorry...Andy Samberg was dancing in this scene and I couldn't get a good shot of the woods without him being in it.
Here are the scenes from the New Moon Trailer where we have also seen these beautiful woods:
I wanted to know for sure if these were indeed the same woods. So...I googled. Wikipedia has this to say about the filming locations for Hot Rod:
"Shooting locations for the film include Cloverdale in Surrey, British Columbia, and under the Surrey end of the Pattullo Bridge, just southeast of Vancouver, British Columbia. Other locations in British Columbia include Coquitlam, Burnaby and Downtown Vancouver."
And we all know where New Moon was filmed. I just thought this was neat. And it was by far the best part about Hot Rod.

This actually looks like the forest on the way to Tofino, BC where some of the filming took place on Vancouver Island...been there and it's gorgeous. I live in BC 7 hours east of Vancouver.
