I thought both articles were so wrong!! Its a fictional story for crying out loud... I thought the movie was awesome!!!
Comment by Tornado on November 25, 2011 at 6:53pm Yes, that's from someone who is a diehard feminist, and believes that if Bella is showing the amount of dedication that she shows to Edward then she must be passive, submissive and naive. Ridiculous. It's negative just for the sake of being negative. There's no way anyone can view this as an objective review.

Comment by Bella Black+LHJake on November 25, 2011 at 7:27pm So...fictional/fantasy stories now have to be scientifically acurate?? Ok, Lord of the Rings, you have to put away all your dragons and wizards in favor of real creatures. Last time I checked, vampire stories are not meant to be compared with real-world scenarios. We're not in the real world when we're Twilighted!! And duh, we LIKE IT THAT WAY!!

Comment by barbaracorker on November 25, 2011 at 7:51pm I can't believe a real doctor would take this as "real" for petes sake! This is a vampire movie...no other movie has ever been so picked apart by such idiots! Fiction, remember?
We read our books, love them and go see them on the big screen and why does this bother some people? At least we read and love our new vampire legends...so there!
Wait til they see her as a vampire! The critics will go nuts!
Comment by FuzzyWolfLuvJBJ on November 25, 2011 at 7:52pm Ahhhh...... What? Ok good to know your a liberal but really come on. So just because Bella decides to compromise with Edward to marry him all of a sudden she's submissive? I mean I'm the first person to not take crap from men that think that women are supposed to bow down to them but really. Ohh surprise the birth scene was not realistic what a shock so is THAT the reason Twilight's classed under Fantasy???? Well good to know your poop turns black if you drink blood I'll get right on to that. Its not supposed to be realistic. @Bella Black+LHJake your right so is lord of the rings now cant be fictional either ohh Harry Potter you cant fly brooms either {not that I would really care either way not much of a fan} but you get my point. Don't listen to the lady who just cant take a good love story so sorry it ain't all real. It was great movie though can't wait till november 16 2012
So fantasy stories are supposed to connect to reality in some way, shape, or form? Oh, please. We are not talking about a real or normal birth, so who really cares?
I don't like feminists. Or a better word would be feminazis. They take everything too far and everything is supposed to be done around the woman and her needs. Hello? I am a girl and I am saying this! I am a firm believer that not every female heroine or character needs or has to be an indestructible being or a role model. Because in real life people just aren't too strong beyond belief or the perfect role model.
I, for one, like reading about normal "plain Janes". Even in a fantasy story, where things are out of this world to begin with, they don't have to be a warrior. Does it really bother women so much that not *every* woman/girl is a powerful, perfect, modern-age Wonder Woman? Really.

WTF!!!!!!Really!!!!! Last time i checked this was a fiction move. Someone correct me if im wrong.SMDH FORREAL
