Not so sure about the movie, I refused to read the leaked script, but in the book on page 540, his "condition" to marry him first.. she asks for the punch line and he tells her she's wounding his ego... LOL (sadly all my books are flagged with bright little post-it flags with my fave parts... it's pathetic really, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one, right?)

He does propose to bella in new moom chapter 24 vote edward says marry me bella and bella says okay what's the punch line and then edwadr goes on to say you're wounding my ego, bella. i just proposed to you, and you think it's a joke
