Last night I dozed off in bed reading our latest FanFiction selection, slipping into what I presume to be a dreamy dream about Edward. The next thing I know, I felt the bed shake (Edward, is that you?), indicating that my dog had jumped off the bed onto the floor. In my startled, sleepy haze I sprang forward to call his name to get him to come back. But, like an out of body experience, I watched myself spring forward and breathe…. “Edward……”

WHAAAAT!

I quickly recovered and corrected myself, “I mean Indy” – noting that that was embarrassingly funny. I must’ve been in a deep sleep to be having such a….compelling dream. My eyes darted to my alarm clock thinking it must be like 3AM. Ya, no. I’d been asleep all of 17 minutes.

Thankfully, my husband was traveling. Phew!

You know you’re reading too much FanFiction when you’re calling out Edward’s name in the middle of the night. It’s like I’ve got three or four different Edward’s tattooed on my brain – permanent, not goin’ away. I’m getting a “full sleeve” of Edward’s! HA!

Which leads me to our next FanFiction book club selection……….I’d like to introduce you to a sexy man named TATTWARD!!!!!!

Clipped Wings and Inked Armor – our new FF book club pick!

In choosing a FanFic book club read I def pay attention to which recs I see multiple times. And one I’ve seen several times is “Clipped Wings and Inked Armor” by hunterhunting. Not only have I seen recs on Twifans and my blog, but I’ve had multiple peeps on Twitter flail all over the place when I mentioned I may choose it as our next fic! And to seal the deal in why I chose CWIA – my fave video editor Biel has dedicated multiple YouTube vids to the story! If the ever so talented Biel is creating vids, you know what to do – run – don’t walk to this fic.

To ensure that CWIA was up to snuff with our fanfic book club and all, I’ve been previewing it for the past couple days and I’m up to chapter 9. Let me first say that I was leery about Tattward. I mean, how in the hellz would anyone in their right freagin’mind mare Edward’s glorious body and pierce his luscious lips??? Idk, but hunterhunting sure did, and not gonna lie, nine chapters in – I find it SOOOOO HAWT!

Edward is a mid-twenties tattoo artist who owns his own shop with his buddies Jasper and Emmett. He’s inked like a mutherfucker and has piercings on his lip, *tongue*, eyebrow, and nipple. (Well, that’s all I know of so far.) Despite the armor he wears, he’s an insanely good looking guy – as per usual – and he’s got a diiiiiirty freagin’ mind – as per usual. One day he walks across the street to the coffee shop where his Aunt Esme works and he’s instantly laid out flat on the ground, beautiful face smashed in as he’s figuratively hit with a wrecking ball at the site of petite little Bella Swan – all legs, hair, and ample booty staring back at him. He instantly becomes obsessed with her before he’s ever even seen her face.

You know the drill; Edward is drawn to Bella like a moth to a flame. Bella in turn is equally drawn to Edward. They drive themselves crazy thinking about each other while the other remains clueless of their mutual magnetic attraction. And you know when the truth comes out…this s*** is going to be mind blowing – like, eyes rolled back in your head kinda mind blowing! I mean people; there's a whole YT vid specially dedicated to a single chapter of mega lemons! Now that’s something to look forward to!!

This story is pretty angsty. Both Bella and Edward have a difficult, rather effed up past that they have pushed down deep inside and it seems that each is the key to unlocking the other’s guilt, sadness, and fear so that they can finally break free from it all. Let me just say that the writing is superb in this story. It’s extremely funny. Tattward is age appropriate, manly, cocky as hell, sex-sessed, and adorably sweet all at once. You will quickly learn to love Edward Mason. Yep, that’s right – ba bye Edward Cullen, there’s a new Edward in town – and he has your face!!!

Good news – this is a complete fic!! No more waiting for updates gurls, we can read from start to finish in one swoop. There are about 40 chapters, so let’s figure we’ll have this read in two weeks. I want to be realistic about reading time, because not everyone halts real life for fanfic like I do, so we’ll check in next Friday and see where peeps are at! Sound good?
