Emma Watson says *Harry Potter, it's not Twilight, you know; we're not selling sex*

"British actress Emma Watson has said Harry Potter is “not selling sex” like the popular vampire film saga Twilight.
The 20-year-old star made the comment while talking about what it was like to film the kiss between her character, Hermione Granger and her co-star Rupert Grint's character, Ron Weasley.
Watson told Empire magazine: 'The kiss between Hermione and Ron is highly anticipated, it has been building up for eights years now.'
She added: 'And Harry Potter, it's not Twilight, you know; we're not selling sex, so when there is any hint of that, everybody gets terribly excited.'
Watson then revealed the kissing scene was 'horribly awkward' and that she couldn't stop laughing with 22-year-old Grint.
She said: 'Before we did it, we turned to each other and were like, 'God, this is going to be awful isn't it? But hopefully it will look good.''
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is due out later this year."
Um, I have bit of a issue with that statement.... first off, Twilight is actually NOT selling sex but quite the opposite. What Twilight and Stephanie Meyer's brought home was the whole concept of waiting until you fall in love and get married before you had sex. To take it a step futher, the sex in Twilight was meant to paint the picture of love, marriage and then children. I am sure if they wrote the Harry Potter books of all the characters in the future, there would be sex. It is the natural course of adulthood.

@Jhonny Cruz I can see your point. I am also fan of both. I think people misunderstand her words.
However I don't see Twilight because of the "hot guys". I see it because I really love the saga!

shut up your f***** mouth emma! if what you are is jealous of the reputation for twilight and loyalty of the fans do not say things that make no sense ... maybe not read the book or saw the movie? edward is not willing to have sex before marry beautiful, what better example than that? Twilight is not looking to sell sex.

Uhh either she's as dumb as s*** and doesnt realize twilights doing hte opposite of selling sex (it's promoting waiting till you are married) , or she feels the need to lie and try to make twilight look like crap, so she can feel like Harry Potter is superior to Twilight. Which it is so not.

@antonella thank god! im glad there's someone normal on this website lol we can discuss what emma said in a grown up mature way! not busting out all these cuss words and doggin on emma and stuff. its so immature lol i definitely think they just misunderstand what she's saying ya know? like twilight is about sex whether its abstinence or actually having sex either way thats what it is about partially ya know? i think that's her point like HP has never been about sex it has to do with them falling in love eventually yeah, but not about them having sex. but im glad you dont see it just because of the "hot guys" lol so many people do see it just for that reason! i loved the saga i just dont really like Stewart she's not the best actress in my opinion!

Twilight is selling sex huh.. could've fooled me.. sounds like someone has been bitten by the envy bug.. which is typical of type casted actors.. bcuz seriously.. outside of Harry Potter.. who is she??
