Emma Watson says *Harry Potter, it's not Twilight, you know; we're not selling sex*

"British actress Emma Watson has said Harry Potter is “not selling sex” like the popular vampire film saga Twilight.
The 20-year-old star made the comment while talking about what it was like to film the kiss between her character, Hermione Granger and her co-star Rupert Grint's character, Ron Weasley.
Watson told Empire magazine: 'The kiss between Hermione and Ron is highly anticipated, it has been building up for eights years now.'
She added: 'And Harry Potter, it's not Twilight, you know; we're not selling sex, so when there is any hint of that, everybody gets terribly excited.'
Watson then revealed the kissing scene was 'horribly awkward' and that she couldn't stop laughing with 22-year-old Grint.
She said: 'Before we did it, we turned to each other and were like, 'God, this is going to be awful isn't it? But hopefully it will look good.''
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is due out later this year."
Um, I have bit of a issue with that statement.... first off, Twilight is actually NOT selling sex but quite the opposite. What Twilight and Stephanie Meyer's brought home was the whole concept of waiting until you fall in love and get married before you had sex. To take it a step futher, the sex in Twilight was meant to paint the picture of love, marriage and then children. I am sure if they wrote the Harry Potter books of all the characters in the future, there would be sex. It is the natural course of adulthood.

Oh, please stop yelling guys! Read the reasonable comments above (like @Johnny Cruz´s). And if you just think about it for two minutes instead of 30 seconds you´ll include options like 'what if she´s talking about the twilight cast (NOT the characters. Slight hint: Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner...)?' or just 'I won´t believe everything that´s reported'. There are major problems in the world, a comment by Emma Watson, that maybe was taken out of context, is NOT one of them!!!

I read Elle with Emma Watson on the cover and she said that she loved the Twilight Saga. Why would she degrade Twilight like that if she was a fan?

Hee hee you're all freaking out :D What's the big deal? Vampires were used to relate things to sex, think about it for a while and it'll come to you. She's right, stop hating her!

@gina thank you for being one of the few reasonable people one here haha everyone needs to take a moment and realize that all she ment was that twilight is a romance novel its basically about how "hot" the guys are even in the book it talks about how amazingly hot the are and how plane bella is. Ema's comment is correct if you take it in the right context, people need to CHILL and stop making this about HP vs. Twilight lmao

um.........This is not a stupid comment, It's a true comment. Emma isn't intimidated, or jealous, or afraid of Rob. Pure my a**. Um not, Twilight is about a girls trying to decide whether to engage in necrophilia or b**********. Its FAR FROM IT.
Beautiful love story? thats crap. JK Rowling told a better love story in one chapter than Twilight did in four books.
Before ya'll say anything, I'VE READ ALL FOUR BOOKS. And um, excuse me, Twilight will NEVER touch Harry Potter. The lowest grossing Harry Potter Movie sold more at the Box office than the Highest selling Twilight movie.
Really, Twilight is the same in every book. Its annoying actually. There is no goodness in this story.
