EW says: Jackson Rathbone Most Improved Vampire Actor
EW.com Article: After noting in just about every Twilight Saga: Eclipse item I wrote leading up to film’s release that I was pleasantly surprised to not be laughing at Jasper Cullen, I feel the need to publicly crown actor Jackson Rathbone Most Improved Vampire Actor. To be fair to him, he didn’t have much to work with in the first two films, and, perhaps, we were even supposed to chuckle at the hungry look he gave Kristen Stewart in the first movie. (Did we ever decide?) Regardless, he’s great in Eclipse, particularly in the flashback sequence, when we get to enjoy the Southern drawl in his voiceover and watch him make that decision to follow orders. (I kept it vague for spoiler-phobes, but you can talk freely in the comments section.)
Does he get your vote? (Nikki Reed could end up being the film’s scene-stealer with Rosalie’s beautifully-acted heart-to-heart with Bella, but we’ve known what she’s been capable of since Thirteen.)

Yes, Jasper gets my vote for MOST IMPROVED VAMP all the way! But if you read eclipse you would have guessed it. I knew it.. & that was one of the reasons I was most excited to see Eclipse. Team Jasper LOL!

I couldn't have been more impressed by his scenes in this movie. He was SO good, he was the first thing I talked about when we left the theater, not even Edward or Bella...it was Jasper....he was AMAZING !!!

thank God Steph gave almost every member of the family a background story!! the things imagination can create are often recreated quite well at movies...I havent seen Eclipse yet ,but Im sure Slade wont dissapoint me..

I love Jackson and I was glad that he got more to do in Eclipse.the flashback was so cool.I loved angry Jasper.when he lets his inner animal out it is so sexy.I loved hearing that sexy southern drawl.Jasper is truly Most Improved Vamp in Eclipse.hope he gets to do more in B D

I am happy that Summit, David and Melissa really gave the character Jasper Hale more scenes in Eclipse, though the readers can basically sum it up that his knowledge of newborns puts him out there. And Jackson shines as Jasper here! Thankful too that this time he's got a nice wig.
And yes I can agree too with EW that Nikki Reed's storytelling was also good, so natural. That you can't help but feel sympathy for Rosalie.

I thought that Jackson was a Beast in Eclipse. He made the movie for me. Every scene he was in was great. And being from Texas myself- I loved that Southern Accent. Team Jasper Baby
