Kelly and I arrived at Earls Court about an hour before advanced entry at 9am, and got into the queue, which was fun in itself, seeing everyone in their various costumes. Quite a few Alice Cullens turned up and one very authentic looking Edward, in full baseball outfit, complete with bouffant!
9am and the floodgates open, as all the advance entry peeps are let into the convention, us included. We headed over to Peter's table, and caught a sneaky look at him signing the first autographs of the day, we also saw Justin Chon and Alex Meraz, but more on that later.
Due to Peter forgetting his passport, he missed Saturday, so they slotted in an extra photo shoot at 9.30 am. We headed over there and got in line for our photo's. I have never been star struck before, I'm generally pretty OK in those kind of situations, but this time.... I was breathless, shaking and had pretty much regressed back into a teenage fangirl blob!
As we moved forward in the queue, we got to see others having their photos taken with Peter. With each person he was very sweet, and hugged everyone, giving the particularly nervous a little stroke on their arms to calm them down. Each photo was very quick, literally in, take photo and back out again, so we had to act out our plan swiftly. As you may or may not know, myself and Kelly designed the 'Carlisle's Study' section of Peter's official website, and although he has said thank you via Twitter, we hadn't spoken to him directly about what he thought etc etc. So, when it was my turn to go up for the photo, I walked towards him and said " Hi, I designed your site, along with Kelly, who's up next" at which point he turned to look at me (with his piercing eyes - sigh) and said " You designed the site, Carlisle's Study, thank you so much". It was enough for me that he knew what I meant immediately, but then he KISSED me. Needless to say my face will not be washed for the next year! The kiss, although lovely (made my day if truth be told), also made me disintegrate into a pile of wobbly jelly! My carefully practised smile, which had been perfected infront of a mirror, quickly turned into a maniacal grimace and I let out a little sighy giggle type thing which he probably thought was quite hilarious! And then that was that, he said thank you again and then it was over, and I was left shaking for the next half an hour...
After calming down we then went off to look at the various bits and pieces around the hall, and took in a couple of talks on other films and programmes.
When we thought we could cope with some more Facinelli, we headed over to the autograph queue and got in line with our photos we wanted signed. Once we got to the front we approached the table, and handed over the pictures. The mean lady sat next to him said I was only allowed one thing signed, but Peter remembered me from our previous encounter and argued with the lady, saying " These guys are on my team" and signed both photos for me. Once again that was enough, but then in pure gentlemanly fashion, he said thank you to us again, took my hand in his, looked into my eyes ( I nearly died) and kissed it. The mean woman broke it up, and told us to move along, and that was the end of that! 2 kisses from Peter Facinelli in one day is enough for any girl, any more and he would have been picking me up off of the floor!
We mooched about for the rest of the day, checking out the auction and various other things that took our interest. Due to the credit crunch we had to stick to watching Justin Chon and Alex Meraz from afar, but it was obvious for all to see that they were very sweet with everyone who approached them. Alex made a point of hugging everyone very tightly and thanking everyone for coming to see him. We just kind of stared at his arms for quite a while. I am looking forward to seeing him semi dressed in New Moon more than ever!
All of a sudden it was time for the Twilight talk, so we headed over to take our seats. After a lot of faffing around as everyone tried to find their place, it was time for the actors to take to the stage. First up, Justin Chon, who in true comedian fashion, came out with a video camera and filmed us and we photographed him. Next to enter was Alex who got a massive cheer, and he gave us a nice wave in return. And then Peter came in, walking up our aisle to the stage.
All three of them were extremely funny and really tried to give everything they could back to the fans. Highlights from the talk -
Peter Facinelli has 'Edward envy' - He wishes that he could play Edward, Carlisle comes in at number 2.
Alex was asked whether we will see him transform in New Moon. He said that, yes we would see him transform in the movie and that he had to 'wiggle and shake' about ( he did a little demonstration) for the beginning of the change into werewolf form.
Alex decided while on set, that Kiowa Gordon (Embry Call), needed to learn how to throw a punch. Whilst being taught, Kiowa managed to break Alex's nose! He said it's now not as straight as it used to be!
Alex originally auditioned for 'Sam', but played out the scene in such an angry way, that he was cast as the more temperamental 'Paul'.
They all love their fans, with Alex saying that he can't believe people are so enthusiastic about him, when New Moon hasn't even been released yet.
Justin would like a little action in the movies, but he loves playing Eric. If he could choose though, he would play a vampire.
Alex would choose werewolf over vampire any day. He wouldn't like to be 'pasty faced'.
They squeezed as many questions from fans in as possible, with Peter playing the role of MC. Each person was invited up to the stage to ask their question, and one lucky lady got to sit in Peter's chair whilst receiving a shoulder massage from Justin.
All too soon, they had to leave, and it was time for us to depart. So we headed out and listened to the Twilight soundrack the whole way home... :)
