Gator-Aid: The Making of Robert Pattinson’s Vanity Fair Cover Shot

Read about the crocodile farm the cover was shot at here.  But the juicy details come from the farm owners:

Shortly after Pattinson’s shoot, he found himself in a potentially more frightening situation: cornered by a crowd of screaming girls. (The daughters of a ranch staffer had assembled an excited group of comrades to ask him for a photograph.) The heartthrob obliged his fans and left a warm impression on the folks at the farm as well. The ranch’s founder and owner, John Price, in a phone interview a week after the shoot, remembered Pattinson as “quite the gentleman.”

I would expect no less from Rob. His parents did a good job teaching him manners.

I just read the whole Vanity Fair interview. Made me so sad how unhappy he is with the fans. The person we admire the most is the one we treat the worst. Tracking him all over the world...stealing his privacy. Such a shame. I hope when the films are over he can go back to some sort of a life.

How very gracious he was to his fans.  I think other actors/actresses in his position would have likely reacted differently.

@Edwardforlife I too feel badly for him as he doesn't seem to have much of a life.  He seems sad.  I wonder though would you ask for his autograph and a pic if you saw him?  I know all of us feel badly but have to wonder if we would do the same thing.

I actually would not speak to him in respect. I know it's easier said than done...but I have seen several actors that I adored and walked on by out of respect for their privacy. I tend to live by the "due unto others" rule. If I were in his shoes I would want to be left the hell alone.
