Gossip Cop Confirms ‘Breaking Dawn’ Bill Condon Negotiations!!

Gossip Cop has confirmed that Summit is in negotiations with Bill Condon to direct Breaking Dawn:

The current frontrunner to direct “Breaking Dawn” is Bill Condon, Gossip Cop can confirm.

Summit Entertainment has yet to sign Condon to the project, but the studio and director are engaged in a negotiation process that has moved the director to the front of the pack, a source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop, corroborating an earlier Deadline.com report.

Condon previously directed films including Kinsey and Dreamgirls.

Almost as long as the book itself, the saga of who would adapt it for the screen has gone through many twists, including a false rumor Gossip Cop busted claiming Gus Van Sant had already “signed” to do the project, and buzz last week that Michael Mann was a major candidate.

As of now, no final decision has been made.

which would work for Breaking Dawn.

Whatever willl work out and what is meant to be...will be just fine. That's how I'm looking at it...because honestly...if I DON'T look at it that way....I'd drive myself OFF THE WALL. And yes, it's going to be two movies people!!!!

The director just tells them where to do it, where to stand...and judges the performance. The love portrayal is in ROB AND KRISTEN'S HANDS so we should have NOOOO WORRIES ABOUT THAT ONE. Hellooooooooooo??!?!!? ROBSTEN PEOPLE. GET THE PICTURE.

For me, its more about how MR is adapting the screenplay - please God, give her some direction and help. I honestly am not jumping on the good/bad bandwagon. Both Chris Weitz and David Slade were criticized and some speculated they'd kill the franchise. That hasn't turned out to be the case.
