HitFix: KStew Possible Supporting Actress Oscar? (Warning: They diss Twilight)
HitFix reports on many actresses, but here is the part on KStew and a possible Oscar nod for her part in WTTR:
“Pro: She gives a strong and sympathetic performance as a young hooker who agrees to try and turn her life around under the guidance of a visiting salesman (James Gandolfini). She also gave a pretty great turn as Joan Jett in “The Runaways” earlier this year and has an impressive resume that has built up goodwill with roles in “Into the Wild,” “The Yellow Handkerchief” and “Adventureland.”
Con: The problem is the movie’s distributor may not send out screeners (a big need for this one) and there’s that “Twilight Saga” elephant in the room. She might need that series to be over before she’s taken seriously again by the industry.”

The thing is: The con part is kind of true. No dissing Twilight right now (I could never!!!) but people are jaundiced - even the Academy Awards judges....

Unfortunately, as much as I hate to admit it, George is right. However, we all know that it's just a matter of time before Kristen is up there to collect her golden statuette.

Ya but if she hadnt dont Twilight. Do you think she would have gotten offered so many movie roles? I dont think she would have even if she talented.

Robert was right when he said that Kristen is the best actress of their generation. She deserves many many awards

Actually, she might have filmed some of these films after doing Twilight but she signed on for the prior to Twilight. When she did the Yellow Handkerchief with ER, she didn't know Rob. She filmed WTTR after doing Twilight but she signed on prior to starting the saga. She just filmed On the Road but she signed up for that in 2008. So Belle, she might not have been as famous as she is now but it would only be a matter of time before she got the roles.

If Kristen doesn't get nominated now, it will happen on a future film. If Kristen continues to work as hard and as diligently as she has, she will prevail. Every director and cast that has worked with Kristen has said that she is very talented, responsible, professional and dedicated to her craft. It's only a matter of time.
