I almost wish it wasn't R-pattz - Remember Me rewiev

Remember Me review - A little late.

I am probably going to get a verbal beating for this... But as the title says I almost wish R-pattz wasn't in the lead role. The first half of the movie I found myself getting distracted when E. Cullen kept thundering across the screen. Then I got used to him as Tyler instead. The reason for this statement - is that I feel this is such a GREAT - correct that better than AWESOME movie, that Robert stole my attention from how great the film really was!

It has been a while since I've been sitting and watching the end credits unable to move because the film just blew me away. I found myself having problems breathing during the end and I was left speechless.

So here is what I liked.

Robert Pattinson as Tyler (when I got past the distractions) I liked that there was no pretty boy covering his role - yes he is gorgous, but not afraid of making a few horrible grimaces along the way. It was great to see Robert as something else then our brooding Edward! To see him stretch is given talent in something we haven't seen before.

His friendship with Adian brought a nice twist to the film. Tate Ellington did an amazing job.

Pierce - makes a good ass hat of a father!

His younger sister was very cute and very convincing. All around I thought it was very well casted and the entire thing came together quite nice!

In generally I love the way it was filmed, that it wasn't prettified and had a raw edge to it. GREAT.

The end was done beautifully... I wasn't sure I liked the 9/11 patriotic heroic twist - but looking back the title says it all! The entire mood and settings of the end was delicate and perfect.

Dislikes:

I am so sorry Emilie De Ravin!

I have never really been a fan of hers, but I do feel better about her now. It is not that I think she is a bad actress - she just annoys me. So the beginning where Ally is like 'I am so great at talking cool about absolutely nothing' REALLY annoyed me. No her fault - but I just hated it! Though she did win me over and I thought she worked as Ally - I am just not fully convinced.

Besides that there wasn't many dislikes.

Tell me what you think. Thanks for reading.

I agree, i couldn't leave my seat at the end, i was in complete shock. Such a beautiful and well thought out movie. Not the kind of film i'd see twice though - now i know what happens it seems silly to watch it again.

I haven't seen it, I love Robert Pattinson, but I do not like Emilie De Ravin... She also annoys me. Everytime I thought about going to see Remember Me, I was put off by the thought of Emilie being a lead role.... I still do want to see it, but from the previews I saw, it didn't jump out at me, actually the previews came across as rather boring :( The movie is probably amazing though, and I would say Robert has done an amazing job as always, but it wasn't a movie I felt the need to rush out and see.

To Sarah... Do your self the favour and go see it. I am no fan of Emilie De Ravin either, but tune her out and it is a rather great film. Just my advice :-)

this comment is coming in late as hell. i just checked my messages. but this movie was good. robert pattinson did a really good job. yeah i squealed like a little girl when rob first came on the screen. but it was very easy to see him as someone other than edward. i didn't feel bored though out the movie. i was freaking out at the end. my sister had to tell me to shut up. i was blown away. and couldn't stop crying.

I totally agree with you, Elvirina. Rob is pretty distracting at a first sight, but then you like him as Tyler.
And the little girl playing his sister, she's awsome!! (Too bad for Emily de Ravin as Ally).
But i liked the end. The movie begins with a little familiar tragedy and ends with a collective one.
