I feel a Twilighters backlash coming on!!!
Oh Stephen, oh Stephen King you are so messing with the wrong bunch of girls! I couldn't read the whole article.
You don't know what I am talking about so I will go back in time. I was skimming through my email when I see one email entitled "Exclusive: Stephen King on J.K. Rowling, Stephenie Meyer". I got so excited that I clicked on it immediately without blinking. Obviously Stephen King is a huge success in the horror book genre, and while Stephenie Meyer isn't horror she is Sci-fi/romance, I still value his opinion in the book world. Well at least I did before I read the article I'm referring to.
I start to read the article where he talks about know J.K. Rowling was influenced by his books. He doesn't know if he influenced Stephenie Meyer at all with his work. I wonder if that would have changed his upcoming opinion.
' I think that I serve that purpose for some writers, and that’s a good thing. Both Rowling and Meyer, they’re speaking directly to young people. ... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can’t write worth a darn. She’s not very good."
I was shocked. How does talk about fellow writers like that. I know he has sold a billion books or something but I thought that comment was out right rude. Is he jealous of her having 5 books on the top sellers list for the last 3 months or so? I think absolutely. After this I might go buy some books as presents for friends just to keep Mrs. Meyer on the list.
Is it time to grab a pitchfork and show Stephen King some real horror from the Twilight community? Or was his comment just to drum up publicity for his new "Stephen King Goes to the Movies" collection that came out last week. Either way I am one pissed off Stephenie Meyer fan. Stephenie email me for a rebutal interview please!!!

i was shocked as well...
i like some of his books, and i have to say that Smeyer is not the best writer out there.
But saying something like THAT. Thats just wrong...
Didn´t he know how huge this fandom is? How many people read those books?
Well, how could she be that bad if she is capable to create a world like this...

The nerve of this guy ! I don't even like his work and he acts all pompous because he's sold more books ? You don't have the right to say anything ! I like JK Rowlings work but it too is not perfect !!!!
LOVE YOU STEPHENIE !!! Plus Stephenies said many times that she isn't a good writer SHE DIDN'T NEED THIS D BAG STEPHEN KING TO TELL HER THAT !!!!

The impotant thing with the Twilight books is the storytelling, and the story is what sucks you into the twilight world!! Every person that i have encouraged (annoyed until they gave in) to read the books has absolutely loved them!!! And anything that gets people reading is a good thing in my book!!!
