If you had a chance,Who would you have picked for the Twilight cast?

I got into Twilight a little late. I had only finished the first book when the movie came out. So I didnt have enough time to have and objective opinion on who I would have liked to see play each of the charactors. In retrospect, my choices for Edward and Bella were totally different. But,I've gotten used to Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. I'm not sure who I would have chosen for Bella. All I know is that Kristen Stewart is too hostile and moody to be Bella. Bella was shy and withdrawn in the book, but she wasnt hostile the way Kristen Stewart protrayed her(It seems like shes that way in every movie she makes--like thats the only charactor she knows how to play).I hadnt even heard of Rob Pattinson when Twilight came out,But I had 2 other actors in mind for Edward- Hayden Christiansen or James Franco.(James Franco has that twisted smile that Edward is described having in the book.) But,like I said,I've gotten used to him as Edward and now I cant see anyone else playing him. As for the rest of the Cullen's,I think they were cast perfectly. What do you all think?

I am on the same page as you. I love Rob as Edward, but James Franco would have been my #1 choice.
I would have had a brown eyed, brown hair Amanda Seyfried as Bella. She's got that shy, sweet, ordinary quality to her.
I would NOT have picked Taylor as Jacob. He is way to little, even beefed up!! Michael Copon, he is the Jacob in my head.
Elizabeth is way to old to be Esme, I think Nikki should have been Esme. Nikki is a beautiful brunette, but not a blond. She looses her beauty as a blond. I think Rosalie should have been played by Scarlett Johansen!
Alice, Emmett, Jasper and Carlisle were perfectly casted tho!

I completely agree. I never thought about Scarlett Johansen. But,now that you mention it,you're right. She has the breath taking beauty Rosalie is described to have. I never put much thought into Emmett,Jasper,Jacob or Esme. Carlisle was perfect. And,to be honest,I couldnt care less who played Jacob lol. That mutt should be neutered after imprinting on Renesmee lol

As for Bella,I agree that Amanda Seyfried would have been awesome. Shes sweet, cute and has that shy quality that,I think,is essential for Bella's charactor

To be honest. As far as Alice and Rosalie. Alice was ALOT prettier than Rosalie in the movie. In the book,Rosalie is supposed to be drop-dead gorgeous.Nikki Reed is very pretty, but she's not pretty enough to play Rosalie. Ashley Greene was prettier. I can't think of anyone more perfect to play Alice

Kristen Stewarts true colors were shown when she lashed out at the paparazzi and compared her experience with them to "being raped".Someone with that kind of attitude toward the paparazzi isn't fit to be a celebrity, let alone, play Bella

Yea I agree about Kristen. I think that even tho she says she likes the role of Bella, she holds a grudge against the whole saga because it boosted her into that fame she doesnt really want. Shes not a naturaly sweet person, and that takes away from the role as Bella. Dont get me wrong, I really do love her! Shes a great actress, but shes lacking something.

I think the cast is perfect!! i wouldnt change a thing about them!! and just having anyone else as anyone in the cast wouldnt feel right there all perfect and i love them all!! :)

I didnt say that. But I think she brings too much of her personal life into the charactors she plays--which is why she only knows how to act one way.Watxh her movies, she acts exactly the same in all of them-With that same sassy attitude. Thats not the way I pictured Bella at all.But like I said,Ive gotten used to her,so it would be pointless to change now.

Shes good with charactors that require her to be the way she is.It's true, she is good in other roles she plays, but thats only because thats how she really is. When it comes to a role that doesnt fit her personality, she doesnt cut it.I mean, look back to when you read the first book--did you imagine Bella as hostile, moody, and frigid?I didnt.I imagined her being shy and withdrawn, but not hostile. She was shy in a sweet way. She didn't get hostile or have a reason to BE hostile until New Moon.Just just comes across as too strong for thw charactor of Bella. Im sure that will be a positive thing for her playing Bella in Breaking Dawn, because in THAT book, she needs to be that way. But I respect your opinion too, this is just mine

She has gotten Better playing Bella because,as the series has progressed, the charactor requires her to play Bella aggressively the way shes been doing. But, her charactor didnt start out that way the way she played her in the first Twilight film.To be honest,I think the way she played Bella in the first movie and the way she has been playing her ever since PROVES shes really in love with Rob Pattinson. I dont think she would have been able to play Bella's charactor at all if she wasnt.I understand you have been a fan of Kristen Stewarts since way before the Twilight series came out, which makes you biased toward her.I think we need un-biased opinions ONLY about how Kristen Stewart plays Bella. Not the way Kristen Stewart is in general.Because it's obvious shes a good actress, otherwise she wouldnt make it in hollywood. She's just wasnt the right actress for Bella.
