Is it just me, or is all this Twilight hype getting ridiculous? I mean, Twilight t-shirts, Twilight plasters (or band aids, as you Americans call 'em), even one case of 'Team Taylor panties' (don't ask. I didn't). I mean seriously people, I know it's kind fun, but frankly, it's quite creepy. I thought I'd seen it all with the underwear and plasters. What next, Twilight-inspired veggies, like, 'the Edward pepper'?
Another thing, are the amount of pictures popping up everywhere (mostly RPatz of course). I know it's all in good fun, but really, I've seen more pictures than interviews lately. I mean, what if he was inhumanly gorgeous, and yet the most boring man on earth? And stupid?! Will you people care then? And- please, DO NOT kill me- I love Rob 'cause of his personatily, and I have to say, he's not the most sexy man that ever lived, and NO, I'm not saying he's hideous. I just have differnet prefrences.
And again, if any of you fangirls want to shot me, feel free. Unless of course, you know where I live and will come with a van labeled 'Gullitine's(sp?) 'r Us' or something...

I don't mind all the press and fan stuff coming out (although I don't get the bandaids personally). I think most people still equate Rob with Edward even if they say otherwise. I know some were fans of his before he was in Twilight, but I think they are the minority. I liked him in Twilight and thought he did a really good job, but I think he looks better in Twilight than his off camera look. I like the darker eyes and groomed hair and I even like the way they had Edward dress better.

All that said, he's too young for my tastes and I just don't tend to get too wrapped up in stars. Men are men and they all have flaws and I'd rather oggle over the man I'm with and the flaws I've already accepted than to put someone I don't know on a pedestal.

OK they can shoot me too. :)

It IS getting just a BIT out of hand BUT it IS rather creepy. We have to do speeches at my school every January, and my sister's is about the Twilight fandom. In her conclusion, there's a sentence that goes, "If you ever hear the name Edward Cullen... RUN!" Well, it's more about fangirls, but still.

I definitely think this would be a great topic for discussion. Not because I agree but because there are so many ways to look at it. I am obsessed with the books, I think about them all the time and Im constantly looking for new ways to incorporate them into my like. That said, I did have a very good discussion with a mom at my work who is equally obsessed but worried about her young daughter's obsession. You see, mom is old enough to understand that they are just books and that Rpatz is just another movie star, but it makes her feel young and giddy and thats something adults need now and again. But her daughter is another case. She is only 14 and has read the series like 18 times (im not kidding you). She is very sweet but her entire world is Twilight and she is already becoming unrealistic about what the real world is like. Mom has had to ban her from the books and is trying to show her at this young impressionable age that there is more to life and love is nothing like in the books. And I understand that aspect of "enough is enough" with the books. Its healthy to be a little infatuated sometimes, and everything in moderation but some kids don't have the mental preparation for that mindset yet and may need limits.

But....who friggin knows. Im gonna marry Rpatz and we are gonna have little vamp babies (dont tell my hubby)

I would get the bandaids but would never get the undies w/ a teen boy name on them! Yikes! i won't buy the tshirts or any of that stuff. I want a cuff w/ the crest. Oh, I like character bandaids. I have My Lil Pony and Hello Kitty. If I have an ouchie, I want fun to cover it up.
