Edward's cool fingers caressed my face. A shiver of ectasy ran down my spine; his lips brushed against the corner of my mouth.

"Edward..." I tried to say, but he cut me off, pushing me down against my bed; kissing me softly.

"I love you..." He moaned and I was surprised to hear the pain etched in his words.

My heart raced in my chest as he resumed the kiss. I couldn't keep up with my life. Just a few months ago I hadn't ever even been on a date and now I was making out on a bed with the most gorgeous guy I'd ever seen in my life. Edward had me pinned down to my comforter and positioned his body so he was hovering inches above mine. I wished he wasn't so careful with me. I wished he'd pull my body against his and take everything I had. That couldn't happen though...

Not when the person I loved was a vampire....
