Katniss Vs. Vampire Bella: The 'Hunger Games' & 'Twilight' Starlets Face Off

for the sake of a little fun, who would win in a head-to-head challenge ?????

Right now,two femme-driven franchises tearing up your news feed: "Twilight" and"The Hunger Games."

"The Hunger Games," of course, has earned its popularity (by being awesome) and Katniss and Bella are two very different characters.

But, for the sake of a little fun, who would win in a head-to-head challenge between them? Well, that would depend on which Bella we're talking about. Since "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2" is on the roster for this November, let's go with Vampire Bella.

The Fella(s)

Bella: Bella's main squeeze is the oh-so-gorgeous Edward Cullen. He's got the looks, the brains and the self-deprecation to boot. Sure, he's shown a bit of a jealous bone on occasion, but for the most part, his entire existence is pretty much devoted to his gal. Oh, and he's got excellent self-control. For a while, Jacob Black followed her around like a puppy, but, thankfully, the wolf has a new girl on his mind these days …

Katniss: Like Bella, Katniss has had two bachelors vying for her affection. Gale Hawthorne's got those great hunting skills – which are crucial in the destitute Seam of District 12 – but my, my how that Peeta Mellark is a smooth talker… with nice, strong arms. How's a girl to choose?

Advantage: Bella – Edward is the focus of too many tattoos for him not to be the dreamiest of this bunch (though we'll take some Peeta cookies any day).

The Entourage

Bella: This girl definitely knows how to pick her team. She's got a whole family of vegetarian vamps, a village of wolves and a continental breakfast-style team of back-up vampires at her flanks. Bella rolls deep with the supernatural.

Katniss: Katniss doesn't easily make friends, but when she does, they know how to make stuff happen. With Rue, she's able to demolish an entire stockade of supplies and put the Careers in a jam, but for the most part, her biggest ally is her own intuition.

Advantage: Katniss – They say there's strength in numbers, but we'd bet on the clever Girl on Fire all alone in a heartbeat.ary!

Quotables

Bella"I punched a werewolf in the face."

You might regard Bella as having been a tad weak pre-transformation, but she's shown some muscle here and there. On this occasion, she gave Jacob Black exactly what was coming to him after he got a little too familiar in "Eclipse."

Katniss"Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true. Here's the place where I love you."

On the flip-side, you might think of Katniss as the tough-as-nails take-no-prisoners badace who can make even President Snow squirm … but she's got a soft spot tucked beneath that façade.

Advantage: Katniss – She doesn't say a whole lot, but she sure means it when she does.

Strengths

Bella: Vampire Bella "confounds us all." She learns to wrap her mind-shield around everyone in her crew and protect them all from the twisted gifts of the Volturi Guard. As a newborn, she's got more restraint andferocity than anyone ever. She's quite a gal.

Katniss: Miss Everdeen is a survivor. A dead dad, mentally checked-out mom, and starving baby sister aren't enough to bring her down, and neither is the entire government of Panem nor the 23 other tributes she's up against in the Games. She's got mad skills with a bow and arrow, and more than that, she's sharp.

Advantage: Bella –a super-strong, super-fast, super-beautiful otherworldly being is tough to compete with, even for Katniss.

Enemies

Bella: A lot of ne'er-do-wells come Bella's way throughout the "Twilight" series, but the biggest threat is always the Volturi. These ageless vampires have a cavalcade of vicious talent, and they won't hesitate to put an end to her and her coven.

Katniss: Katniss has more than her fair share of opposition in "The Hunger Games." Not only is she up against some tough tributes in the actual Games, but she's also got President Snow and the Capitol raising eyebrows at her behavior.

Advantage: Tie. In both cases, it's lady versus her society … just the way we like it. You go girls.

Wardrobe

Bella: Bella's the kind of girl who doesn't much care about fashion. Sure, she'll don a pretty dress now and then per sister-in-law Alice's instructions, but she's good to go in a plaid button-up and khakis. Still, she sure rocked those lacy undergarments in Brazil … Just sayin'.

Katniss: Sartorial excellence is part of Katniss'

either, but she has the advantage of an amazing stylist who knows how to help her make an impression.

Advantage: Katniss – Please. She wore a jumpsuit that was literally on fire. This one's no contest.

On-Screen Representation

Bella: The lovely Kristen Stewart has been making Bella happen on-screen for five films now.

KatnissJennifer Lawrence — she of immediate Oscar cred — was a surprising (but seemingly perfect) choice for the character.

Advantage: Audience. It's the viewer who wins out by having these two women on board.

And the Winner Is …

BOTH. To us, both are so full of win. It's like Sophie's Choice. We call it a tie.
