The vampires and werewolves won't be the only ones going through dramatic transformations in the Twilight sequel New Moon.
The movie's main female character, Bella Swan, will also be experiencing some changes, and Kristen Stewart, the actress who plays her, dished on some of those changes at this year's Comic-Con.
"I always say that [Swan] is content after New Moon," Stewart offered. "New Moon is the struggle and then in Eclipse the rest of her life is planned out and it's not always such a big question what is going to happen."
But of course it's always darkest before the dawn—or Eclipse, in this case—and Stewart notes hat Swan has a hard path in front of her before she reaches that stage of contentment.
"It's a much more heightened depression than you think," Stewart says of Swan's disposition in Mew Moon. "You die, it's the closest emotion to death that there is. So we needed something really light to bring her out of that."
And what pulls her out of the mega-funk? Werewolf Jacob Black, as ably portrayed by Taylor Lautner.
"I don't know how to describe how he did it, he just has it in him," Stewart says of her New Moon co-star. "I mean Taylor has it in him to be Jacob...when [Bella's] around Jacob she's bouncing around the room."
Just goes to show the power of acting. It probably doesn't hurt that he's so much fun to look at either.
Do you think Stewart has the acting range to pull off Bella Swan's emotional roller-coaster ride in New Moon?
