I was devastated... The Twi-Tour I had signed up for was changing by the hour. No Jackson, No Ashley... no. BILLY BURKE?? WTF? So when I saw the announcement that Gil Birmingham would be taking Billy's place I was ecstatic! I began tweting Gil (@gilbirmingham) begging him to bring his guitar and play at the concert! Ofcourse he didnt tweet back, he get's like 800 tweets a day or more I'm sure, LOL... The next day CreationENT posted that Gil would only be there Saturday... DEVASTATED AGAIN! So (pathetic, I know) I tweeted Gil and said I understood why he never tweeted back, he wasn't going to be there on Friday... well at midnight that night (EST) my blackberry about exploded. People were tweeting me! Telling me Gil was bringing his guitar and coming a DAY EARLY to play the concert. I jumped out of my bed, ran downstairs (hubz is used to this by now) and jumped on twitter.. DAMN YOU TWITTER.. and sent a message to Gil.. "THANK YOU THANK YOU I LOVE YOU! If there is anything you want from the East Coast of NC, NAME IT".. well I went back to bed... 30 minutes later... my blackberry (receiving device updates from Twitter) almost exploded again.. my followers alerting me "GIL IS TALKING TO YOU"... Sure as s*** Gil TWEETED ME!!!! He told me to bring the ocean, he heard it was hot in Phoenix!.. So I set out to get Gil the ocean. It was tuesday, my flight was leaving on thursday, I had ONE day to make this happen... Wednesday, I would take my daughter and we would go to the ocean... so who would have thought when the weather man said 'chance of rain" he would actually mean STAY IN YOUR HOUSE... Tornado warnings, thunder, lightning, 10.5 inches of rain (8 in a 4 hour period), the water came up over the hood of my little Mitsubishi Eclipse... Did that stop me? HELL NO. I braved it all to get Gil his Ocean...

I packed it away with my shampoos and perfumes, effectively hiding it from TSA... teehehe, we boarded our plane in Eastern NC and made our way to PHOENIX ARIZONA!
