Let's talk clothes...

I wanna talk about Edward's clothes in Eclipse...

In Twilight we saw him with that beautiful grey jacket and his rayban and we all felt in love with him! Than New Moon came... and Edward's clothes went tragic! He was wearing that suit... he seemed to be a grandpa! Even Carlisle looked younger than him! He's 109, but he pretends to be 17, don't forget about that.

Now Eclipse trailer gives me some hope...

His look is fresh and young again! Unfortunately Bella's hair is not exactly natural... Her wig could have been better! I'm not totally satisfied about Alice's hair too ..what do you think? Did they exagerated a bit with all that wigs??

Comment by Hanna on April 27, 2010 at 12:09pm: I heard Weitz's explanation about the clothes...in Twilight and Eclipse Edward attends the school so he wears more modern clothes. In New Moon we notice that he uses "old-fashioned" clothes outside school (but for example in the Romeo and Juliet scene you can se him wearing casual jeans and t-shirt) and they tried to show that he is not a normal 17 year old boy, in fact he is 109 and lived in 1918. I think this was a great decision and we get a better feeling of "the true Edward".

I think they could've found some really good extensions to put in Kristen's hair or maybe a better wig...something closer to the chestnut color she had in New Moon. Carlisle's hair...well, not commenting on that b/c its just tragic. I think the only one who's wig didn't look too bad was Rosalie

The wigs however... yea they could have been better but i think alice's wig looks great... bella's wig bit too flat however, the colour is nice... eermmm... Emmett is SPOT ON!
I love jasper's hair... it's perfect, it's how jasper is supposed to look like the long hair suits him! Esme's hair changed a lot.. but no matter what it always seemed to suit her! so thats good...
Rosalie looks as beautiful as always... and carlisle's wig is good :)

He was wearing it because of Bella's birthday (as were all the Cullen's dressed up) and when he left he didn't bother taking it off. You notice the scene in Rio where it looked completely ruined and ripped, indicating that it had been repeatedly worn. That doesn't explain the ending bedroom scene though or the wood scene with Jacob and Bella.

But I do agree. I totally hated that forsaken suit. It made him look like an old man (though rightfully he is). When I picture Edward though I think of this inhuman beautiful person. No offense, but old men don't really do it for my nineteen year old self.

As for the hair. I love Rosalie's wig in the Eclipse scenes. It looks amazing. Carlisle's and Jasper's (especially Jasper's) are terribad. Bella's is okay but definitely should have done more when it comes to her considering she's one of the main characters. I don't like Esme's. It looks too different from the previous movies. Edward's hair has definitely lost it's bronze tint and looks more brown. It's also not as messy, which kind of sucks. I like Emmett's but it keeps changing for godsakes, lol.

The suit in new moon looked like a cheap wool blanket. I have hopes for better clothes in eclipse, but I dont think Edward would have worn a jean jacket?(promo pic)
I think Bellas wig is good in eclipse, her hairstyle is kinda growing up with her. But they should have made Edwards hair like Twilight hair in all the movies. It seems so dark and flat in NM end Eclipse. Same with Jasper and Alice, Twilight hair was the best. It looks horrible in eclipse. Rose's hair sucks in NM and is fabulous in eclipse.
