Making a dream come true
By: Brenda V. Chatani
This past weekend I went to Boston to attend Creation Entertainment’s Twilight Convention held at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge Massachusetts. It was my first time in Boston but my second at a Twilight convention. I was on my own, because my friends weren’t able to join me this time. But being alone didn’t discouraged me and neither did it weakened my excitement and desire to make one of my dreams a reality, to meet- Charlie Bewley.
On Saturday, July 17 2110, my dream materialized and my excitement still lasts up to this day and I’m sure it will live beyond that. When Daniel Cudmore and Charlie were announced at the auditorium, all to be heard were screams and cheers. Needless to say, I was screaming too. Daniel and Charlie were a dynamic duo at the convention, amusing everybody-including each other with their jokes. Some of the fans screamed “Charlie I love you” and I even shouted out “SEXY” at him. He graciously received the comments and even gave thanks for them.
After their presentation, the moment for the photos came and lucky for me I was the second person in line after the VIP’s, waiting to take a picture with Charlie. I couldn’t hid my excitement and when the staff called me, I ran into Charlie, gave him a bear kind of a hug and told him; “Finally I meet you” and he said alright. All eyes were on us and the picture speaks for itself. It took me around 15 minutes to recover from that moment and I was floating on a cloud. He smelled great and he does have a hard body. Shortly after it was picture time with the Volturi (Daniel & Charlie) together and I cuddled up with them, feeling like a Volturi Queen.
Last but not least, time for autographs came and I was more than excited to see Charlie again, have the chance to chat a little with him and give him a little present before leaving. I greeted him with “Hi, I’m from Team Bewley, baby” and I told him my Twitter name @Felinavamp and he got very excited saying “Really?” and gave me a handshake saying “Felinavamp, is a pleasure to meet you” in that sexy British accent of him.
He mentioned that I looked different from my avatar picture due probably to my hair color (which was red} before. He said “Wow, at last we meet, finally huh” and repeated It was a pleasure to meet me, signed one Demetri picture for me and then, I gave him my copy of Bewley:The Book to sign. He couldn’t hide his surprise and happiness when he saw the book saying he knew about it, but that this was the first time he actually have it in his hands. He browsed at the book excitedly and said it was great, but the convention staff was getting irritated by the attention Charlie was given me and they gave me the evil eye look. While Charlie signed and returned the book I went against Creation Entertainment’s policy-which prohibits in person gift giving to stars- and gave a manila envelope to Charlie and telling him “This is for you”, and as surprised as before he thanked me and shook my hand again. Then I said goodbye and left as quickly as I could, never looking back to prevent people from seeing my very emotional expression. It is hard to say “Goodbye” when you meet the charming Charlie Bewley.
