Melissa Rosenberg says 'Breaking Dawn" will be PG-13

In a recent interview with Film.com Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter for the first three Twilight Saga movies, assured that the last chapter in the Saga would be PG-13 and the film would stay true to the book.
"In this series, you don't sacrifice anything," Rosenberg commented. "There are some movies that wouldn't play at PG-13, like 'The Hangover,' but this is just not one of them for me. Again, if you're capturing character, emotion and emotional journey, you're OK."

Rosenberg got the most pressing question of the final installment that we've heard lately: Who will direct Breaking Dawn?

"It's definitely not up to me," she said during the interview. "I've seen lists and weighed in, and they always welcome input, which is lovely, but ultimately it's [Summit Entertainment's] decision, and they'll do what they do, and I'll work with whomever they choose. I had no knowledge of the first three directors, and it worked. Generally speaking, [the candidates] are people I haven't worked with before."

I'm really, really sad that the movie is gonna be PG-13!!
That means that they are not gonna show pratically nothing of Bella & Edward having sex, and the birth scene is probably gonna suck... :(

they can get away with a lot in pg-13 so it might not be a disappointment. I wish it would be just like the book, here's hoping they can make it work

@ Emmelie Cullen Black: No that doesn't mean that!! What the heck??? In the book, the didn't go into vivid detail with Edward and Bella having sex, everybody knows that. What is everyone EXPECTING??!?!!? JEEZ. And this is awesome. A few weeks ago I was having a freak-out period about this because there was a rumor going around that stated that Melissa Rosenburg had said that she was done with trying to make everyone happy and that Breaking Dawn is not gonna be perfect but I wasn't sure if it was true so I was freaking out and upset that whole night. But this is awesome, to see a nice, laid out interview of her commitment to the series and Breaking Dawn. ESPECIALLY BREAKING DAWN. This makes my night. And of course they have to leave it at PG-13. IT'S CALLED STAYING TRUE PEOPLE!!!

I read a long time ago that Stephenie Meyer made some kind of request to keep them all PG-13. Not sure if that was part of the movie deal or not. But I know that's always been the buzz. I agree with some, I would like to see some payoff with the romance of the two. Its something that I think has been decided absent in the movies. And don't misunderstand, I really love the movies, but come on. This is supposed to be forever love, can we see them love each other, smile at each other, please????

really when you think about it, the sex scene really wasn't graphic anyway...it started with them in the water, and then she woke up covered in feathers...so that is not rated R material anyway.

the book only says that she takes off her clothes and goes into the ocean and see edward from the waist up....and she blacks out everytime they have sex.... so therefore theres nothing to be seen. You may see it in your head but you never read it physically in the book. Also the birth scene is not that bloody in print either.... She basically gets a c-section and blood is allowed in PG13. People, they movie will be good. They haven't left anything out in the movies so far so I'm sure we will be pleased with this one.
