On Sunday 19th of July, my parents and I travelled to London for the Film and comic convention... what an AWESOME day it was! I found out a few weeks before that Peter Facinelli was going to be there... that alone sealed the deal!! I was kind of worried when I read via Peter's Twitter that he missed his flight on the saturday, I thought he might not make sunday as well... but I'm very happy to say that he did!!! :)
We arrived at 11 in London, and I was excited enough already but as soon as I entered Earls Court the excitement kicked into overdrive!! I must have drove my mum & dad crazy because before my mum and I went to see Peter, we queued to see James & Oliver Phelps(i'm also a Harry Potter fan) and all I could do while waiting in that monster of a line was say: 'Dad? What time is it? I CAN'T miss Peter!!'
An hour and a half later, after meeting the twins... my mum and I headed off to see Peter. I got to the photo area and was the first person with a yellow ticket(blue's went first) so I was allowed straight in I hung back a little at first, a nervous wreck and all: 'Oh My GOD. I'm in the same room as PETER FACINELLI
.' I could see him chatting to the guy who stored the photos on his laptop and was eventually able to calm the nerves and worked up the courage to go in, and I can honestly say he is one of the sweetest and friendly guys I've ever met. He heard me come in because of the motor on my wheelchair, and looked up smiling: 'Hey! How are you?' he asks me, shaking my hand. At that moment when he took my hand in his, all the nerves melted away and I returned the gorgeous smile: 'Hey Peter, I'm great thanks, glad you made it! I was panicking slightly when I read your Twitter page and you missed your flight!
The Fach laughed and replied: Oh yeah, I didn't mean to miss my flight... honest!
The laughter continued for a while longer, while the photographer was sorting his camera. When he had it ready, Peter knelt down so he was at my level, and his arm was dangerously close to the controller of my wheelchair and the last thing I wanted was for the man to impale his foot by running himself over, queue:
'Wait a Sec!!'
The look peter gave me was absolutely adorable, and he said: 'Oh Crud. Have I touched something I shouldn't?'
Could he be any more sweet??
'Oh no! Don't worry, you've not broken it!! I just switched it off so you wouldn't hurt yourself.
He laughed again, 'Aw thanks sweetie, phew!!'
Then I said aloud to the photographer, before turning back to Peter: 'Do you want me to turn around so we're straight on to the camera?'
He nodded smiling, and I turn to Peter who was rocking that lovely smile of his: 'We can do whatever you want'. As he said this, he jumped up, and helped guide me backwards as I'm a terrible driver! (scratch the 'could he be any more sweet?' he outdid himself with this lovely gesture =D )
As soon as I was in place, Peter knelt down again and put his arm around me, pulling me closer to him so my head was resting on his shoulder... and finally my composed self broke down, I was blushing like mad and shivering with embarrasment because of it, but luckily the Fach didn't notice :) We posed for my pictures, and I turned to Peter who was all smiles and: 'Awesome, there we go'. I opened my mouth to thank him for being so lovely, but he cut me off by saying: Thanks for coming sweetie, and kissing me on the cheek!! When I eventually could say thanks, he just hugged me to him again saying I was most welcome.
I swear to god I drove out of there feeling like I had literally gone to heaven and back during those few minutes!! My mum couldn't shut me up, even after we met up with dad.
We had to wait around for a while the photos were developed, so my dad suggested I queue for Peter's signature. I was more than happy to do so, given how lovely he was earlier, so I joined the queue. My mum picked up a photo with him as Carlisle in the baseball scene for him to sign (unfortunately there were none of him as Dr Cooper in Nurse Jackie who I also love left) and left me to it. As I got to him, he smiled as if to say 'Hello you, I've seen you before'. The people who were looking after him even recognised me and asked if my photo had come out yet. I replied no, at which point Peter said he hoped it came out well, then noticing the picture I did have and smiling said 'Right sweetie, hand it over.' I did and he signed it (To Kerrie Love Peter Facinelli, but with a heart instead of the word love)
He knelt over to hand it back to me, 'Thanks Kerrie, Good seeing you again!' to which I replied 'Thanks again Peter, you too!'
He watched me leave to join my mum and dad, he even laughed as I went faster to meet them!
All in all he is a total gentleman and I'm proud to say it was an absolute PLEASURE meeting him =D
Here's our photo together, I love it =D
