After camping out over 32 hours outside of the San Diego Convention Center and seeing the jaw dropping "New Moon" panel, we made our way to the Pacific theater for a special screening of Twilight. We got into line around 3:30 pm. At that point the line was already 5 blocks long. Thank god we took a bike taxi to get to the theater or with the humidity I would have died. Plus it was like a fun roller coaster ride.
So now we are really five blocks back. We saw the red carpet and thought maybe since we were so far back we should get pics of the cast on the red carpet then go to the back of the line. In hindsight we should have done that. Turns out Robert and Kristen only stayed until 6:30 pm and the screenings started at 5:30 pm. I am not even sure we were in a theater by then but the line did move very quick.
We were given wristbands in colors. the colors signified what theater we went into. We were hot pink. In the lobby we were immediately given presents which was fun. Twilight candies, Burger King crowns that were Team Jacob or Edward, Venom lip stain, & Twilight chocolates. We got to preview the Nordstrom "New Moon" clothing line, but I barely got a look cause all of sudden I heard screaming and looked around to see the cast members traveling to different theaters on escalators. It was surreal and Beatles like. Reminded me of pics I have seen of the Beatles going up to the airplanes with the old fashioned stair case.
Kristen and Nikki were gabbing all the way up. Taylor waved and smiled. Jamie Bower seemed to be having a out of body experience. I don't think he thought he would have gotten screamed for yet. Twilight fans welcomed him with enthusiastic arms wide open. Noot giggled. Kellan flashed his famous big smile several times. Rachelle spotted and red head in the audience and immediately pointer to her own hair and the girl below. That girl must have been smiling all night. Billy did his basic, I am a bad ass and hot older guy smirks....the smirks are hot. Peter and Elizabeth stay together and Elizabeth seemed shy but Peter was his social self waving and yelling hi. We didn't see Rob. Newbie Kiowa Gordon was quiet and smiled and waved. he seemed really shy and adorable. Can't wait to see more of him.
Workers started to move the line and we got a rolling. Smashed trying to get to the front of the theater. When does anyone ever want to sit in front...right? My friend Dawn came with us and she litterally did a belly flop across 5 seats and my other girlfriend Monica just started screaming "WE HAVE SEATS". We got great seats 2 rows back from the middle walkway. We had to wait awhile before our crew came in.
Our crew was Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jamie Bower, and Noot Seear. They said hi and everyone in our theater was very respectful and yelled hi back. Then they said we could ask questions. Jamie was asked if he hoped his music would make it one the "New Moon" soundtrack. He said if any of us fans could help him with that it would be great but he's not expecting anything. The rest is really a blur to be honest. I had been up for more than 40 hours straight at that point but Nikki said something about always being in scenes with Kellan and he grabbed her and gave her a
big bear hug. After about a 5 minute Q & A, trailers started to play. We were excited to see the "New Moon" trailer on the big screen. That was the first time I saw it big.
We didn't stay for the movie because we were too tired. On the way out we were handed 11 X 17 autographed "New Moon" posters. The autographs were random cast members. I got a Kellan for Ms. Monkey Man and a Michael Welch for Cali Twilighter.
