National Movie Awards 2010: Twilight Saga cleans up

THE TWILIGHT Saga has swept the board at this year's National Movie Awards (as if it wasn't already a dead cert).

Vampire phenomenon The Twilight Saga propelled Robert
, Kirsten Stewart and Taylor Lautner to international fame -
and it just keeps amassing top movie gongs.

The franchise took three awards at last night's National Movie Awards at London's Royal Festival

Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr Carlisle Cullen in the blood-sucking
franchise, picked up the three prizes including Most Anticipated Movie
of the Summer for The Twilight
Saga: Eclipse
, Best Fantasy for The
Twilight Saga: New Moon
and Performance of the Year for Robert

Sadly R-Pattz couldn't be there as he was stuck on a film set. But he did send
video message
to apologise for his absence.

He said: "As you can see I'm on location shooting my next film Water For
Elephants but thank you for honouring me with the award for best
performance. It means a lot to me because you, the fans, voted for me."

Speaking after the awards, Peter said: "With great
anticipation comes great responsibility. We put a lot of effort into

Next stop the MTV Movie Awards eh Peter!?

Coming close behind was Harry Potter, which won the Special
Recognition Award and Best Family Movie for Harry Potter and the

home the Screen Icon award and he confessed he was pleased to win the
prize which celebrated his entire career.

He said: "I can never get over the fact that I
dreamed of coming to this country, the UK, I dreamed of making movies.
It's incredible. I'm very appreciative."

Twilight freakin' rules the Entertainment industry. Nobody can handle it. They all know that Twilight rules and that will never change. People don't just STOP supporting something like this. It's profound.
